Full Job Description
As we continue to grow, we are looking for a Field Application Engineer to join our US team in the Bay Area and play a key role in driving the successful adoption of Treble's SDK. This is a highly technical, customer-facing pre-sales role working closely with sales, product, and R&D.

About the role:

As a Field Application Engineer
at Treble, you will partner closely with our Application team to support prospects and customers throughout the evaluation and ultimate adoption of our platform. You will take ownership of the technical side of deals, from first deep-dive conversations through proof-of-concept work and successful onboarding.

You will work directly with technically sophisticated customers to understand their challenges and demonstrate how Treble's SDK and simulation capabilities can deliver measurable improvements in their audio AI systems and audio device products. The role requires strong technical depth combined with a clear understanding of commercial goals.

You will also act as a critical feedback channel into product and R&D, ensuring that customer needs and market signals directly influence the evolution of Treble's platform.

Your tasks include:
  • Own the technical evaluation phase of enterprise deals, working closely with sales to drive successful outcomes
  • Design and deliver compelling technical demos, benchmarks, and proof-of-concept projects using the Treble SDK as a simulation platform
  • Engage directly with customers at all levels such as:
    • Work hands-on with prospects to solve complex problems in audio AI, spatial audio, and acoustic simulation
    • Help customers integrate Treble's SDK into existing ML, signal processing, and production workflows
    • Answer advanced technical questions related to simulation accuracy, performance, scalability, and data quality
    • Tailoring technical discussions and demos for engineering managers and executives.
    • Support pricing discussions and value articulation by translating technical capabilities into customer impact
  • Collaborate with product and R&D teams to translate customer feedback and objections into product improvements
  • Create reusable technical assets such as demos, example projects, documentation and reference workflows to support sales at scale
  • Support onboarding and training of newly signed customers
  • Represent Treble in technical meetings, workshops, and selected industry events
    • Expected 20-30 travel days a year for on-site customer support and demoes as well as conferences and trade shows


What we are looking for:
  • Strong technical background in acoustics, simulation, audio signal processing and AI.
  • Hands-on experience with audio ML systems, spatial audio and multi-channel audio processing, audio hardware development
  • Solid programming skills (Python), CAD skills
  • Ability to combine deep technical problem solving with a commercial mindset
  • Comfortable leading technical discussions with senior engineers, researchers, and decision-makers
  • Clear communicator who enjoys explaining complex technical concepts and value propositions
  • Self-driven, hands-on mindset with strong ownership and follow-through
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth scaleup environment


Nice to have:
  • Prior experience in technical pre-sales, solutions engineering, or field engineering role
  • Familiarity with synthetic data generation
  • Experience supporting enterprise AI or developer tools
  • Background in audio hardware, voice tech, or AI systems
  • Experience working with long, complex sales cycles
