About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Field Application Engineer to support the deployment and integration of our humanoid robot solutions at customer facilities in North America. The role involves on-site visits to customer facilities, data collection, lab-based simulations, executing high-quality demos, conducting in-lab and in-field testing and supporting on-site solution integration. This position requires technical expertise, attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a customer-centric approach.

What You'll Do
  • Support the deployment and implementation of humanoid robot solutions at customer locations.
  • Conduct visits to customer facilities to gather data, assess requirements to ensure successful integration of robotic solutions.
  • Build physical twins, test rigs and test environments in our lab for reliability, performance and acceptance testing.
  • Organize and conduct product demonstrations in the lab for customers, investors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Represent the company at expos and industry events, delivering live product demos.
  • Test different product releases, ensuring timely delivery to customer sites.
  • Support solution integration in customer facilities, ensuring seamless operation.
  • Plan, organize, and supervise on-site Proof of Concept (PoC) and pilot projects, both short and long-term.
  • Collect and analyse product data and customer feedback; to improve product performance and deployment efficiency.
  • Perform minor maintenance tasks on robotic systems, including troubleshooting with remote engineering support.
  • Collaborate with engineering, product development, and customer support teams to optimize deployment strategies.


What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Robotics, Mechatronics, or a related field) or equivalent technical qualification.
  • Experience with robotic solutions, automation systems, or related technologies.
  • Hands-on skills in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, assembly, and maintenance.
  • Experience managing robotics or automation concept/pilot projects and deployment processes.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently, under pressure.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills to coordinate with internal teams and customers.
  • Ability to work independently and adapt to dynamic environments.
  • Ability to build effective working relationships with customers, including senior stakeholders and operations staff.
  • Willingness to travel for short-to long-term assignments at customer and partner facilities across North America with occasional travel to Humanoid HQ and other locations in Europe. Approximately 40% travel.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience in warehouse/logistics automation, industrial robotics or humanoid robotics deployment.
  • Familiarity with software integration and sensor-based automation.
  • Experience with CAD modeling, 3D scanning, or digital twin technology.
  • Experience with commissioning or acceptance testing
  • Experience with automation business case development.
  • Experience working in complex operational environments
  • Ability to deliver engaging presentations and live demonstrations to diverse audiences.

    For this role in Massachusetts, the expected base salary range is $100K-$130K USD per year; your placement in that range depends on how your experience maps to our internal leveling.
