proHNS LLC is seeking an experienced Construction Project Engineer to support FHWA construction projects across AK, WA, OR, ID, MT, and
WY. This role supports field-based infrastructure work that improves access, safety, and mobility in communities and public lands.
You'll
help lead day-to-day construction oversight, coordinate with contractors and agencies, and ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project requirements.
What You'll Do
- Manage daily engineering and construction oversight for FHWA projects.
- Coordinate with contractors, agencies, landowners, and internal teams.
- Review work for compliance with plans, specifications, safety standards, and environmental commitments.
- Document progress, quantities, materials testing, site conditions, and construction activities.
Qualifications
- Valid U.S. driver's license, good driving record, and ability to work safely in varied field conditions and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
- Strong communication, coordination, documentation, Microsoft Office, and file management skills.
- Experience working with contractors, agencies, landowners, and the public; familiarity with MUTCD, AASHTO, ADA standards, construction specifications, and environmental oversight.
- Licensed Civil PE; bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management plus 5 years of lead project experience; or 10 years of highway or bridge construction experience, including 6 years as a Project Engineer or Resident Engineer.
