Job Description:

Crowe is seeking a strategic, growth-oriented Federal Tax Partner to lead our market expansion efforts in the Boston region. with an intentional focus on the Life Sciences sector. The role is critical in driving top-line growth by integrating market strategy with Tax, Audit, and Consulting solutions.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:
  • Provide leadership and tax technical expertise for consulting and compliance engagements involving complex partnership, S corporation and C corporations.
  • Establishing Crowe as a trusted advisor to biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and medical device companies across the lifecycle - from venture-backed startups to mature public enterprises.
  • Executing an integrated go-to-market strategy in collaboration with Audit and Consulting leadership, enabling full-firm engagement across financial reporting, R&D credit planning, IPO readiness, supply chain, and international tax planning.
  • Enhancing Crowe's visibility through targeted thought leadership, conference participation, and client education programs tailored to Boston's life sciences ecosystem.
  • Developing scalable delivery capacity and market responsiveness by building out a high-performing tax team locally.
  • Have or be able to quickly build an active network of business contacts and referral sources in the local market.
  • Leadership of client service teams and multiple projects in a fast-paced and interactive team environment with the goal of exceeding client expectations.
  • Developing staff and serve as a role model, providing coaching, mentoring, and training.
  • Remaining aware of new developments and the firm's standards and policies
  • Integrate and leverage firmwide thought leadership efforts in developing the market for tax services.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting required, masters or advanced degree desirable
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Juris Doctor (JD) required
  • 12+ years of experience in public accounting
  • Strong tax technical experience a plus, including complex partnership, S corporation and C corporation planning and compliance.
  • Experience in the review of tax returns for public and private businesses, specifically in the Life Sciences industry.
  • Leadership and team building experience.
  • Strategic and organizational planning experience.
  • Sales and marketing experience, with proven business development skills.
  • Ability to work within budgetary and time constraint.

The salary range for this role considers various factors, including skills, experience, education, certifications, and location. The salary range provided is an estimate, with actual pay within this range determined by your specific qualifications and experience. The salary range for this job is: $200,000.00 - $600,000.00 per year.This role follows a hybrid work model for candidates located near a Crowe office. Candidates who are not within commuting distance of a Crowe office may be considered for a remote work arrangement, subject to business needs.
