Description

Our Project Managers are seller-doers who develop and maintain client relationships. They will have the responsibility for coordinating and leading our design teams across the United States to deliver quality projects that make our clients successful. The ideal candidate for this position will have experience leading complex DOE, NNSA, Naval Reactors, Nuclear Fuels, commercial nuclear, industrial facility, and infrastructure projects through planning, design, procurement, construction, startup, and operational readiness. They will manage all design, cost, schedule, construction and general administration activities associated with their projects. This Project Manager will be responsible for the successful completion of large and smaller value projects as part of an annual portfolio of projects. Additionally, this Project Manager will:
  • Plan, coordinate, communicate and facilitate activities of several disciplines on projects of all sizes from concept through completion.
  • Make critical decisions and recommendations that have an important effect on projects and programs.
  • Manage project delivery, including scoping, budgeting, maintaining schedules, meeting budget objectives, communicating and meeting deadlines.
  • Manage multiple projects at one time, including a wide range of project scopes from small to complex, commercial to nuclear with varying schedules.
  • Provide direction to a multi-discipline project design/construction teams.
  • Monitor project execution for conformance to established processes.
  • Collaborate with engineering and construction leaders to strengthen Burns & McDonnell's capabilities in nuclear facility and nuclear fuels project delivery.
  • Promote safe work environments.
  • Assist and mentor teams in implementing Nuclear Quality Assurance (NQA-1) requirements.
  • Support the growth and execution of Burns & McDonnell's Department of Energy, Nuclear Security, Nuclear Fuels, and Commercial Nuclear project portfolios.
  • Provide leadership and guidance on the planning, development, and execution of complex nuclear facility, infrastructure, and EPC projects.
  • Support business development activities including client engagement, opportunity identification, capture planning, proposal development, and pursuit strategy.
  • Assist with the development of technical and cost proposals and qualification statements.
  • Interact with the client and design team to develop project scope and communicate regular project status updates with the client.
  • This person will serve as one of the primary interfaces with local clients.
  • Assist in maintaining client relationships and network within the client organization in supporting business development activities.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction/Project Management or related field from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum 7 years (15 preferred) of experience in project management, program management, engineering, construction, nuclear operations, or related industry leadership roles, including delivery of facilities and infrastructure projects.
  • Ability to represent Burns & McDonnell in a professional, competent manner.
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy Security Clearance.
  • Support field work throughout design and construction.
  • Capable of devising new approaches to problems encountered.

Compensation

$155,000.00-300,000.00

This job posting will remain open a minimum of 72 hours and on an ongoing basis until filled.
