Position Description:

CGI is actively seeking a Federal Financial Systems Consultant to join the team supporting an agency with improving their finance and accounting business and Momentum systems processes. The member would join a well established team in support of a dynamic task to support the client's efforts to prepare for the generation of financial statements and associated audit. The member would get the chance to work closely with and learn from team members with significant federal financial management expertise as they complete analysis, recommend and assist in implementing improvements, and provide documentation and training to the client. This is a phenomenal client facing opportunity to expand your federal financial management and consulting experience.
This position is located in our Fairfax,VA office; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

1) Perform general ledger analysis and reconciliation, identifying transactional issues and recommending solutions.
2) Assist with developing Momentum system posting model recommendations following Treasury's United States Standard General Ledger (USSGL) guidelines.
3) Support Government wide Treasury Account Symbol (GTAS) and financial statement reporting, including analyzing issues, reviewing Momentum system configuration, and recommending changes.
4) Support testing activities including developing test cases and performing testing.
5) Document issues and resolutions, process maps, configuration guides, user guides, as well as other documentation as needed clearly and concisely.
6) Conduct business process reengineering (BPR) including analyzing current state, recommending improvements, and assisting with implementing improvements.
7) Support financial statement audit preparation including identifying issues and data cleansing.
8) Assist with preparing training materials and conducting informal and formal training as needed.
9) Participate in client status meetings and document outcomes of those meetings.
10) Build strong consulting skills and relevant domain knowledge to provide strong client connection and impact.
11) Develop strong, positive relationships with clients.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

At least 2 years of Federal Accounting/Financial Management experience
Federal financial management ERP systems experience (Momentum, SAP, or Oracle)
Software Testing experience
Issue resolution experience
Direct client facing experience
Good Communication Skills (Oral/Written)
Functional/Data Analysis
Teamwork Experience
Learning Agility
Ability to work independently
Business Consulting Skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Desired qualifications/non essential skills required:
Momentum Financials experience
Experience with audits (federal preferred)
Experience with federal budget analysis/execution
Familiarity with Federal Financial Regulations and Treasury Financial Manual
SAP Business Analytics
Business Process Reengineering (BPR) experience
Microsoft Access skills
Microsoft Project skills
SAP Business Analytics
Functional experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps)
Functional experience with Robotic process automation (RPA) or other automation experience

Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $62,900.00 $139,300.00.
