Position Summary :
This job is responsible for providing leadership, technical direction and oversight to a team delivering technology solutions. Key responsibilities of the job are to provide oversight of the design, implementation, and maintenance of complex computer programs, align technical solutions to business objectives, and ensure that coding practices/quality comply with software development standards. Job expectations include conducting multiple software implementations and applying both depth and breadth in knowledge of several technical competencies. The Global Financial Crimes Technology (GFCT) team within Enterprise Risk and Finance Technology delivers solutions for the enhanced monitoring of suspicious activity across Anti Money Laundering (AML) and Economic Sanctions. The primary mission of the group is to design, implement and maintain strategic monitoring and detection solutions to support AML and Fraud Investigations, Economic Sanctions scanning and screening, customer risk rating, and numerous regulatory reporting processes associated to the domain . Actively seeking a feature lead with experience in solution design and development, leveraging numerous components, to support strategic initiative delivery and maintenance of applications within the Global Financial Crimes Technology portfolio.

The role is responsible for providing leadership, direction, and oversight to feature teams responsible for delivering technology solutions, with ownership of GFC components which support broader Enterprise Customer Due Diligence processes. Key responsibilities of the role include driving feature and solution delivery to satisfy business objectives and requirements, leveraging knowledge and experience in design/architectural patterns and Agile/DevOps practices, partnering with key stakeholders across Global Technology, Global Risk Management and numerous Front Line Units to define and execute on strategic portfolio transformation, and ensuring Technology solution compliance with Enterprise risk and security standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Designs, develops and is accountable for feature delivery
  • Applies enterprise standards for solution design, coding and quality
  • Ensures solution meets product acceptance criteria with minimal technical debt
  • Guides the team on work breakdown and execution
  • Works with the Product Owner to ensure that product backlog/requirements are healthy, with clear acceptance criteria
  • Plays a team lead role (as an individual contributor) and mentors the team
  • Guides team members with skills and practices (planning and estimation, peer reviews, and other engineering practices)
  • Accountability for design and development of features, components and overall solutions.
  • Apply enterprise standards for solution design, coding and quality
  • Ensure solution meets product acceptance criteria with minimal technical debt.
  • Responsible for compliance and security items and audit support at the team level.
  • Act as a liaison for production activities/issues, work intake, planning and execution routines
  • Work with the Product Owner to ensure that product backlog/requirements are healthy, with clear acceptance criteria.
  • Team Mentorship - Plays a team lead role and mentors the team.
  • Guide team members with skills and practices (planning & estimation, peer reviews and other engineering practices).
  • Identify skill and role gaps, and work with Technology Delivery Manager to address them
  • Work with Technology Delivery Manager in creating resource contingency plans where required.


Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of job related experience required.
  • Demonstrated experience in designing and delivering distributed platforms and solutions, scalable to support business needs and anticipated growth, with appropriate security and reliability.
  • Design, develop and maintain complex systems, ensuring code quality and performance.
  • Experience in data architecture and developing data solutions and capabilities across numerous platforms
  • Track record of successful operation in a fast-paced environment with the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities concurrently.
  • Strong background in leading development teams of varying sizes, ensuring focus on quality of delivery and adherence to best practices.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership, communication, analytical and organizational skills.

Pay range

$106,500.00 - $173,700.00 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.

This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary plan. Employees are eligible for an annual discretionary award based on their overall individual performance results and behaviors, the performance and contributions of their line of business and/or group; and the overall success of the Company.
