Simulation Engineer
If you are an ENGINEERING professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Copeland has an exciting opportunity for you! As a Modeling & Simulation Engineer, you will work collaboratively with a global multi-disciplinary engineering team to develop, validate, and standardize 1D/2D/3D HVACR system, sub-system simulation models using model-based engineering tools and methodologies. You will also demonstrate ability to diligently track and manage progress of the work by facilitating open dialog with a wide variety of stakeholders. This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly technical engineering team working in a fast paced, innovative, and global environment with an objective of assuring that Copeland’s products meet and exceed customer expectations.
As a Simulation Engineer, you will:
- Execute simulation-driven product development through advanced FEA/multi-physics methodologies, model validation, automation, and optimization techniques, enabling improved product performance, reduced physical testing, and accelerated time-to-market.
- Execute development & implementation of simulation models to aid design of HVACR systems, sub-systems, components using industry leading simulation tools.
- Develop, execute, and interpret high-fidelity FEA simulations of compressor components and assemblies. Provide data-driven recommendations to Product Engineering regarding design performance, Strength behavior, manufacturability, reliability, and cost-reduction opportunities.
- Execute activities to verify and validate (V&V) simulation models. This will require partnering with global subject matter experts, creating test plans, and/or leveraging available test data by working with other engineering teams.
- Effectively communicate project status to various stakeholders in the organization by preparing presentation of results.
