Job Requirements

Essential Job Functions
• Provide engineering analysis support for gas turbine components.
• Develop baseline stress models using solid models and analysis expertise.
• Support evaluation of components and assembly, and suggest improvements.
• Conduct internal reviews and provide recommendations by leveraging in-house expertise in accordance with established processes and best practices. This encompasses the final release of component/assembly definitions, and any critical decisions or trade-offs related to modifications and improvements.

Qualifications
• BS/MS in Mechanical or equivalent engineering from an accredited university or college.
• 10+ years of experience in structural/FEA analysis using ANSYS Classic and/or Workbench.
• Experience with finite element modeling, mechanical and thermal analysis.
• Ability to run quick trade study analysis with limited inputs and good assumption decisions.
• Due to nature of working candidates need to be a US Citizen or Green Card holder.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment:
• Substantial amounts of telephone and computer work.
• Heavily Regulated Industries with strict adherence to procedures.
• Flexibility to meet business deadlines by staying late or arriving early.

Location: Greenville, SC (remote may be allowed for qualified candidates)

Travel: Minimal < 5%

Compensation type: Salary Exempt with a competitive package dependent on level of experience
