Riverside Health Medical Group is seeking a dedicated Family Nurse Practitioner to join our team at the Riverside Mental Health & Recovery Center in Hampton, Virginia.
Hiring Range: $115,000.00- $150,000.00
Actual pay depends on specialty, experience, and performance
Location: Hampton, Virginia
Position Type: Full-Time | 4x10 Hour Shifts | No On-Call
Position Overview
This full-time role consists of four 10-hour shifts per week, with no on-call responsibilities. The provider will focus, the FNP will complete medical H&Ps within 24 hours of the patients' admission to RMHRC. In addition, the FNP will assist with any medical consults that come up within the psychiatric unit. Additional shifts may be available for those interested in supplemental compensation.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education & Licensure:
- Family Nurse Practitioner: Current FNP license, and board certification (FNP)
- Eligible for Virginia state medical licensure
- Valid DEA registration
Preferred Experience & Skills:
- Independent clinical decision-making
- Proficiency in diagnosing and treating common psychiatric and medical conditions
- Familiarity with managed care and Medicare populations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Professional demeanor and appearance
- Basic computer literacy
Scope of Practice:
- Conduct comprehensive physical and psychiatric assessments
- Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests
- Develop and implement individualized care plans
- Provide patient education and counseling
- Prescribe and evaluate treatments
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation
