Job Summary and ResponsibilitiesAs our Family Nurse Practitioner, you will help patients of all ages receive high-quality, evidence-based primary care so they can achieve and maintain their best possible health and well-being.
Every day you will assess patients, diagnose and manage acute and chronic health conditions, develop and implement individualized treatment plans, provide education to patients and families, and collaborate with physicians, specialists, and other members of the health care team. You will be expected to practice with a high degree of clinical competence, professionalism, independence, and attention to detail while prioritizing patient needs and making sound decisions regarding patient care.
To be successful in this role, you will bring advanced knowledge and clinical expertise in physical assessment, differential diagnosis, pathophysiology, pharmacology, and the management of adult and pediatric populations. You will demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to work independently and collaboratively, sound clinical judgment, adaptability in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to evidence-based practice and our organization's mission and core values.
- Provides immediate patient care under the responsibility and supervision of a physician.
- Application of technical/clinical skills to provide medical care are appropriate to patient needs and age.
- Ability to organize and prioritize workload in a cost-effective manner.
- Applies ethical, legal and professional standards to patient care.
- Assures appropriate, safe and timely disposition of the patient and participates in the hospital Quality Improvement Program.
Job RequirementsRequired- Nurse Practitioner registration with the State of California Board of Registered Nursing (BRN)
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of California
- Basic Life Support (CPR) from the American Heart Association
Preferred- Preferably two years of primary care clinical nursing experience
- National Certification
- PALS from the American Heart Association
- ACLS from the American Heart Association
