Family Medicine Physician Brownsville, TX

In Brownsville, TX: Brownsville Community Health Center dba New Horizon Health Center is seeking a full-time Family Medicine (FP) Physician to provide preventive and primary medical care for patients in a warm and friendly community health center environment. Must be able to treat patients from a diversity of social and ethnic backgrounds and to work creatively as a member of a service-oriented team composed of health care professionals from a variety of disciplines. Opportunity to "make a difference", with compassionate and evidence-based medical practice. 100% outpatient, with assigned supervision of APP (FNP & PA) at satellite clinics. Requirements: Graduation from an accredited Medical School, completion of an ACGME-approved Family Medicine post-graduate training, and a current, unrestricted Texas medical license required. Board Certified in Family Medicine (or Board-Eligible for future/new graduates awaiting board certification). Must have current Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) and Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) registrations for the purpose of writing prescriptions. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred. New graduates are encouraged to apply.
