Overview

UnityPoint Clinic is actively recruiting for a Family Medicine Physician to join our team in Cedar Falls, Iowa

  • Established outpatient practice located at UPH Prairie Parkway medical Campus
  • Join team of 7 Physicians and 6 Advanced Practice Providers
  • Full-time position, including dedicated administrative time, with flexible scheduling to ensure sufficient patient access
  • Prairie Parkway provides patient-centered and comprehensive care in one 90,000 square foot building.
  • Patients have access to therapy, lab, pharmacy, and X-ray onsite
  • Primary and specialty providers at the medical campus work collaboratively and include (Rheumatology, Pediatrics, OBGYN, IM, and Diabetes and Endocrinology)
  • Cohesive group of colleagues and supportive staff allowing for autonomy while building the practice according to your preferences
  • Experienced staff, both clinical and non-clinical, who know the patients and the community
  • Fully integrated system with clinics and hospitals on EPIC EMR to improve care coordination


Responsibilities

  • Clinic hours vary from 7AM-5PM and extended hours on Monday and Wednesday 7AM- 7PM
  • Average 18-22 patients per day
  • Ability to work as a team member to improve the health of the people and communities we serve
  • Shared clinic call amongst the providers. Call is light, and first triaged through MyNurse line
  • General family medicine procedures such as joint injections, skin excisions, lacerations, casting, joint injections etc.
  • Evaluates, interprets and coordinates information to make decisions and recommendations regarding patient care
  • Patient-focused, friendly and willing to collaborate in a team environment
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal), analytical and problem-solving skills


Qualifications

  • Experienced provider preferred
  • Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
  • Board Certified
  • Hold an unrestricted medical license in the state of Iowa
  • Hold current and unrestricted state and federal authority to prescribe and administer medications as necessary or appropriate to the Advanced Practitioners field of practice
  • Eligible to work in the United States
