Full Job Description
If you're an LCSW who thrives where clinical skill meets community impact, the Family Advocacy team at F.E. Warren AFB needs your leadership. This is your chance to guide care, shape prevention, and strengthen the families who serve.

AFCS is looking for a Full-Time Licensed Clinical Social Worker (Family Advocacy), GS-0185-12, to work at the 90th Medical Group, F.E. Warren Air Force Base, Cheyenne, Wyoming. This federal job offers a rewarding and exciting career with benefits.

In this position you serve as the installation's Family Advocacy Officer (FAO) directly supervising a staff consisting of social worker(s) and may also include a registered nurse and support personnel. Integrates and organizes the Family Advocacy Program (FAP). Exercises responsibility for program effectiveness and promotes acceptance of the social work function. Functions as a clinical social worker responding to complex and frequently shifting program priorities. Responsible for community development and programming on an independent basis and in coordination with other base and community agencies.

Salary Range: $89,508 - $116,362

- US citizenship

- Master's degree in Social Work from a school accredited by the Council on Social Work Education

- Possess current unrestricted license to practice independently in any one of the 50 states, District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, or the U.S. Virgin Islands

- Practiced as an independent Licensed Clinical Social Worker within past two years

- Two years' experience working in the field of child abuse and domestic abuse

- Meet all Medical Treatment Facility credentialing requirements

- Practice requires clinical privileges at the host Medical Treatment Facility

- Maintain independent active clinical privileges for the duration of employment

- Knowledge of a variety of social services, social work practices and theories including clinical case work, family and children protection services, and family violence prevention theory and practice

- Ability to design, implement and evaluate clinical service for the installation Family Advocacy Program

- Ability to provide case management activities occurring from initial referral and counseling, through case closure

- Skill in conducting interviews to establish nature and extent of issues to provide professional assistance to clients and determine appropriate referral services

- Ability to apply professional diagnostic skills to individuals and families and establish treatment plans
