Primary Purpose:
Oversees the ACGME-accredited Psychiatry Residency Program.

Essential Job Functions:
1. Oversees administration and operation of psychiatry residency and residents.
2. Provides resident recruitment and supervision.
3. Maintains a training program aligned with ACGME specific requirements.
4. Ensures all aspects of psychiatry program meet accreditation standards.
5. Provides clinical care to patients.
6. Performs other duties as assigned or required.
Job Requirements:
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Knowledge
1. Comprehensive knowledge of psychiatry principles, diagnosis, treatment modalities, and evidence-based practices.
2. Knowledge of ACGME Institutional and Psychiatry Program Requirements.
3. Knowledge of residency education, curriculum development, competency-based medical education, and assessment methodologies.
4. Knowledge of accreditation, regulatory, and compliance standards governing graduate medical education.
5. Knowledge of healthcare delivery systems, quality improvement, patient safety initiatives, and risk management practices.

1. Strong leadership and organizational skills to direct, manage, and evaluate a psychiatry residency program.
2. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presentation and public speaking abilities.
3. Skill in curriculum design, implementation, and continuous program improvement.
4. Ability to effectively mentor, coach, and develop residents and faculty members.
5. Strong interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills.
6. Skill in data analysis and interpretation for accreditation reporting, resident performance evaluation, and program assessment.
7. Effective project management and strategic planning skills.
8. Ability to manage budgets, resources, schedules, and operational priorities.
9. Proficiency with educational technologies, electronic health records, and residency management systems.
10. Skill in conducting performance evaluations and providing constructive feedback.

Required Certifications/Licensures: 1. Board certification in Psychiatry
2. State of Florida License
Required Education: Terminal Degree (DO or MD degree)
Major (if required: Osteopathic Medicine or Allopathic Medicine
Required Experience: Terminal D.O. or M.D. degree with board certification in Psychiatry
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Prior teaching experience in clinical, academic or administrative role.
2. Prior experience as Program Director or Associate Program Director
3. Strong interpersonal skills and written communication skills
4. Leadership or administrative experience
