Opportunity Overview
We are seeking a Hardware Factory Applications Engineer to contribute to a variety of machine design and product development initiatives for our next generation System Level Test and Storage platforms. The ideal candidate will translate technical insights (to medium-to-high complexity engineering problems) from customers' engagements into innovative, scalable technical solutions with the Factory Engineering Team. Additionally, this candidate will also work across functional boundaries to identify essential requirements, tradeoffs, and key technical risks while working with product development teams from conceptualization through detailed design implementation and transfer to high-volume manufacturing.

  • Delivers technical expertise and added value to customers.
  • Supports sales activities through technical input during presentations and product demonstrations.
  • Provides software and hardware development support and technical consultation to customer inquiries related to system software and applications.
  • Develops application solutions based on customer requirements through onsite visits, technical reviews, and joint debug sessions to enhance product performance and drive design-ins as the platform of choice.
  • Proven industry experience with board design and fabrication including schematics, layout, and familiarity with thermal and mechanical design processes.
  • Develop custom test site designs, including slot configuration, SLT board support incorporating existing DUT thermals, and automation solutions

  • Bachelor's Degree or Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • 10+ years of experience post silicon validation experience in Board or System related products
  • 5+ years of experience in Board/System Product development Engineering
  • Strong expertise in multi-layer PCB design, high-speed routing, and Design for Manufacturability (DFM)
  • Knowledge of hardware and software interaction (e.g., familiar with embedded low-level firmware and/or embedded operating systems and H/W).
  • Understanding of System on Chip (SoC), CPU, GPU, IO interfaces (e.g., USB, SPI, UART, Ethernet, display ports, etc.) and memory subsystem design.
  • Experience in design analysis, prototype bring-up and debugging, failure verification and manufacturing test support.
  • Knowledge in analog and digital electrical circuits.
  • Experience with SoC platform design, including high current power delivery and high speed signals.
  • Experience in Manufacturing Test and validation planning and reporting.
  • Design of experiments creation, execution, and data analysis. Ability to travel as required , approximate 20% - 30%


Compensation:
The base salary range for this role is $126,800 to 248,100. This range is a good faith estimate, and the amount of base salary will correspond with experience and skill set. This range can also fluctuate depending on demand and location.

Incentive Plan: This job is eligible for discretionary bonus(es) based on financial performance.
