Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Manage the inventory of all facility keys, including issuance, collection, and record-keeping.
  • Develop and maintain a key control log and database to track key assignments and returns.
  • Coordinate with facility managers and other stakeholders to ensure proper key distribution and control.
  • Implement and enforce key control policies and procedures to ensure compliance with security protocols.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure proper key control practices are being followed.
  • Assist in the development of security procedures and policies related to key control.
  • Provide training and support to employees on key control policies and procedures
  • Ensure lost or stolen keys are reported and appropriate actions are taken to maintain facility security.
  • Collaborate with SAIC Security to integrate key control with other security measures and systems.
  • Will be required to obtain FSO certification within 6 months of employment.
  • FSO will coordinate and oversee security activities to protect assets, personnel, and information, ensuring compliance with corporate and government security requirements.
  • The entry-level FSO will assist with security inspections by helping conduct regular self-inspections and coordinating government inspections to ensure compliance with security regulations and standards.
  • Maintain security records by managing entries in corporate and government databases and systems of record, ensuring accuracy and adherence to regulatory requirements. In supporting security awareness programs.
  • FSO will aid in the development and delivery of training programs to educate employees about security policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • FSO will support personnel security coordination by assisting with the processing of security clearances and managing sensitive information.
  • Administrative support duties will include preparing reports, maintaining documentation, and assisting with other security-related tasks as needed.
  • Participate in site and program meetings to represent security interests and provide security-related input and guidance.
This position is remote, with required travel to the SAIC Oxnard CA location 2-3 times per week. Candidates must be local to Oxnard/Santa Barbara areas, or within a reasonable commuting distance to the Oxnard site.

Qualifications
  • Bachelors and six (6) years or more of related experience; Masters and four (4) years of more experience. Additional four (4) years of experience considered in lieu of degree.
  • Active Secret clearance, must be able to obtain Top Secret clearance
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience in key control, facility management, or a related security role.
  • Strong understanding of key control systems and best practices.
  • Excellent organizational and record-keeping skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.

Target salary range: $80,001 - $120,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
