Description
The FSO will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all government security regulations and requirements, including the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM). The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of industrial security, personnel security, and physical security.
Work Location: On-site, Arlington, VAKey Responsibilities:- Serve as the primary point of contact for all security-related matters.
- Develop, implement, and maintain security policies and procedures in compliance with government regulations.
- Administer the personnel security clearance process, including initial submissions, periodic reinvestigations, and terminations.
- Manage the company's facility clearance and ensure all safeguarding requirements are met.
- Conduct security education, training, and awareness programs for all employees.
- Investigate and report security incidents and violations.
- Liaise with government agencies, including the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA).
- Maintain all security documentation and records.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field. May substitute four (4) years of equivalent professional experience in lieu of a degree.
- 5+ years of experience as an FSO or in a related security role.
- In-depth knowledge of the NISPOM and other government security regulations.
- Experience with the Defense Information System for Security (DISS) and the National Industrial Security System (NISS).
- Active Secret security clearance (minimally).
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Desired Skills:- Experience with COMSEC (Communications Security).
- Experience in a government contracting environment.

Salary Description
$70,000-120,000
