Facility Security & IT Specialist - Federal Customer (on-site 5 days per week: TS/SCI Required) Job Summary We are seeking a versatile Facility Security & IT Specialist to oversee physical security, access control, baseline IT operations, and localized project management for a secure facility. This role bridges physical security, technical support, and project coordination, ensuring that all facility perimeters, secure workspaces, and technical deployments remain on schedule, fully compliant, and operational. Key Responsibilities SCIF & Facility Security • SCIF Operations: Manage the daily operations of the Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) in strict accordance with ICD-705 and NISPOM standards. • Access Control: Administer facility access control systems (ACS), issue badging, manage intrusion detection systems (IDS), and enforce visitor escort procedures. • Secure Logistics Support: Oversee physical security protocols tailored to logistics consolidation and rack infrastructure integration workflows, ensuring all sub-components and hardware remain secure throughout the intake and integration process. Basic IT & Telephony • Desktop Support: Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 support for users across unclassified networks. • Telecommunications: Provision, manage, and troubleshoot VoIP hardware, and baseline network connectivity. • Systems Onboarding: Set up IT equipment, workstations, and communication devices for new personnel and secure conference rooms. Oversee facility cabling and cable management. Project Management • Vendor & Implementation Tracking: Coordinate with external vendors, integrators, and internal stakeholders to track the installation and upgrade of facility security systems, IT infrastructure, and rack deployments. • Timeline & Resource Management: Maintain project schedules for facility build-outs, SCIF accreditations, and hardware staging, ensuring milestones are met without disrupting daily operations. • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate project documentation, compliance records, and budget tracking for facility-level IT and security enhancements. Required Qualifications • Active TS/SCI and ability to maintain access as required by the program. A polygraph is preferred. • 3-5+ years of experience in physical security, facility management, or serving as a Contractor Special Security Officer (CSSO) / FSO in a DoD or Intelligence Community environment. • 1-3 years of practical experience coordinating technical or physical security projects (CAPM, CompTIA Project+, or PMP certification is a plus). • Hands-on experience administering enterprise access control software (e.g., Lenel, CCURE) and providing basic IT helpdesk or telephony support. • Deep understanding of ICD-705 construction and operational standards, as well as general physical security threat mitigation.
