Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with health and safety practices at all times.

  • Provide onsite supervision, training, and mentoring for supervisors and technicians.
  • Manage daily production goals related to various operational tasks.
  • Perform general management duties including goal setting and troubleshooting issues.
  • Act as the emergency coordinator and primary point of contact on site during shifts.

Clean Harbors located in Chattanooga, TN is looking to add a Facility Operations Manager to join their safety conscious team. The FacilityOperations Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations as well as management of field related operations of the facility. The successful candidate will have industry experience and logistics experience combined with a strong administrative skill set.

Shift: 7:00am-5:00pm Mon-Fri. OT and weekends as needed.

Pay: $80,000-90,000 DOE; Annual Bonus Potential

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times;
  • Emphasize productivity, health & safety, compliance and customer satisfaction;
  • Ensure that each project has an operating plan and that personnel follow it;
  • Onsite supervision, training and mentoring Supervisors and Technicians and will also provide input to General Manager regarding performance evaluations for individuals to whom this position has direct supervision over;
  • Will be responsible for daily production goals of the shift including trailer offloading/receiving, consolidation, shredding, box truck offloading, and outbound operations. Additionally, further shift expansion is also planned;
  • General operation manager duties, setting and assigning daily area tasks and goals. Troubleshooting difficulties. Ensuring Health and Safety. Ensuring Compliance. Will act as emergency coordinator on site during shift. Point of contact for facility during this time and manager on duty.


Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required (Degree in environmental studies preferred);
  • Experience working at a hazardous waste or chemical facility is highly preferred;
  • Supervisory or management experience in chemical operations preferred;
  • P&L/Budget experience;
  • Knowledge of Federal, state and local environmental regulations;
  • OSHA Training and experience.
