FortisAlberta is seeking an experienced Facilities Projects Supervisor to lead the planning, governance, and delivery of facility infrastructure projects across our building portfolio.
Reporting to the Director, Strategic Capital Management & Facilities, this role plays a critical part in ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to a high standard of quality. You will provide technical leadership, oversee contractors and vendors, and collaborate across the organization to integrate operational needs, technical standards, and long-term asset strategies.

This role is ideal for a results-driven leader with strong facilities expertise and a passion for delivering high-impact capital and operational projects!

Job Description
• Lead the facilities project portfolio, setting priorities, managing risk, and establishing governance and technical standards.
• Oversee the full project lifecycle to ensure compliance with corporate procedures, safety requirements, and quality expectations.
• Establish and maintain performance standards across building systems including mechanical, electrical, structural, and life-safety systems.
• Lead contractor and vendor oversight, including contract performance, cost control, and invoice approval.
• Track, report, and present project milestones, deliverables, metrics, and corrective actions to leadership.
• Support annual capital and operating budget planning, including preparing and validating forecasts.
• Coordinate building inspections and assessments and approve or recommend remediation actions.
• Investigate and resolve facility-related project issues while ensuring adherence to safety policies and standards.

Qualifications
• Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 4 years of experience managing facilities or infrastructure projects.
• Project Management designation (such as Project Management Professional or equivalent) is an asset.
• Experience with SAP, CAD, and FM systems is an asset.
• Proven experience leading contractors and delivering complex, multi-disciplinary facility projects.
• Strong technical knowledge of building systems including heating, ventilation, air conditioning, electrical, controls, and fire protection.
• Demonstrated leadership, communication, and stakeholder-management skills with the ability to influence outcomes.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills to manage multiple priorities under tight timelines.

Important Information
• Permanent, full-time role.
• Located at our Airdrie office.
• Monday - Friday schedule.
• Frequent travel throughout the service territory is required for this role including overnights.
