Facilities Project Manager - JLL

What this job involves: JLL is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of repair and improvement projects for the General Services Administration (GSA). This role manages all phases of project execution from programming through closeout, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and in full alignment with GSA requirements and objectives.

What your day-to-day will look like:
  • Manage day-to-day project activities across programming, planning, design, construction, and closeout phases for GSA projects
  • Serve as primary liaison between GSA and all project participants including consultants, contractors, vendors, and jurisdictional agencies
  • Ensure project completion within established budgets, schedules, and quality standards
  • Coordinate and oversee building mechanical, electrical, and life/safety systems throughout project lifecycle
  • Monitor contractor performance and compliance with GSA specifications and requirements
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation, reports, and correspondence
  • Conduct site inspections and progress meetings to ensure adherence to project plans
  • Identify and resolve project issues, managing risk and implementing corrective actions
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, and safety requirements
  • Facilitate project closeout activities including final inspections, documentation, and turnover


Required Qualifications
  • 7+ years of project management or operations and maintenance (O&M) managerial experience
  • Demonstrated experience in operation and management of building mechanical, electrical, and life/safety systems
  • Experience managing projects in facilities of comparable size, complexity, and characteristics to GSA buildings
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, building systems, and project delivery methods
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and technical documents
  • Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite


Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field or related experience
  • Professional certifications (PMP, CCM, LEED AP, or similar)
  • Previous experience working on federal government or GSA contracts


Location: Chicago, IL (on-site; daily; downtown)

Additional Requirements
  • Must pass GSA background check and security clearance requirements

Estimated compensation for this position:

100,000.00 - 120,000.00 USD per year

This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
