About the Role: As a CBRE Facilities Manager, you will oversee building operations and maintenance for a large portfolio of small to medium sized buildings.
This job is a part of the Facilities Management functional area which focuses on all aspects of the operations of a set of assets, providing support to the Property Managers regarding all repairs and investment plans.
What You'll Do: - Work remotely to develop maintenance plans and provide solutions to 60-70 portfolios in the Chicago area.
- Travel 20% within the local Chicago area to site locations.
- Conduct on site safety checks quarterly and ensure safety needs are met.
- Utilize CMMS systems to keep the system up to date.
- Manage client work orders, projects and budgeting to ensure cost efficiency.
- Coordinate and manage facility repairs and maintenance by working with technicians, vendors, and engineers.
- Maintain positive client relationships and conduct meetings on unresolved facility issues.
- Perform quarterly inspections. Ensure work meets quality assurance standards of local, state, and federal regulations and client standards. Correct building deficiencies, make all necessary repairs, suggest operational improvements, and provide list of needed replacements/capital improvements.
- Manage environmental health and safety procedures for facilities.
- Oversee vendor relationships and invoicing procedures. Review price quotes for the procurement of parts, services, and labor for projects.
- Conduct process and procedure training on maintenance, repairs, and safety best practices.
- Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Influence parties of shared interests to reach an agreement.
- Apply knowledge of own discipline and how own discipline integrates with others to achieve team and departmental objectives.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve day-to-day and moderately complex issues which may or may not be evident in existing systems and processes.
What You'll Need: - Bachelor's Degree preferred with 3-5 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered. Valid driver's license required.
- Live locally in the Chicago, IL area.
- Ability to guide the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations and handle problems.
- Leadership skills to motivate team impact on quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of the job discipline and department.
- Extensive organizational skills with a strong inquisitive mindset.
- Advanced math skills. Ability to calculate difficult figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.

California, Colorado, New York, New Jersey, Washington State Residents: CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate's education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Facilities Manager position is $90,000 annually [or $43.27 per hour] and the maximum salary for the Facilities Manager position is $102,000 annually [or $49.04 per hour]. The compensation offered to a successful candidate will depend on their skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE's applicable benefit program.
