What this job involves:

As a Facilities Manager at JLL, you'll be the strategic leader responsible for ensuring seamless operations across assigned properties and creating environments where businesses can thrive. You'll oversee all aspects of facility operations including maintenance, vendor management, budgeting, and compliance while serving as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders. This role requires you to balance operational excellence with strategic thinking, ensuring that every facility runs efficiently, safely, and in alignment with client objectives. What your day-to-day will look like:

  • Oversee daily facility operations including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, life safety systems, and general building maintenance to ensure optimal performance and minimal disruption
  • Manage vendor relationships and service contracts, conducting regular performance reviews and ensuring all work meets quality standards and budgetary requirements
  • Develop and monitor annual operating budgets, capital expenditure plans, and financial forecasts while identifying cost-saving opportunities without compromising service quality
  • Conduct regular property inspections and audits to ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, environmental standards, and client-specific requirements
  • Serve as the primary client liaison, building strong relationships through proactive communication, regular meetings, and responsive service delivery
  • Lead and develop facility teams including technicians, coordinators, and support staff while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
  • Coordinate space planning, moves, adds, and changes while managing renovation and construction projects from initiation through completion
  • Implement preventive maintenance programs and asset management strategies to extend equipment life cycles and reduce reactive maintenance costs
  • Respond to emergency situations and critical issues with urgency, coordinating appropriate resources and communicating effectively with all stakeholders


Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in facility management, property management, or building operations
  • Strong understanding of building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire/life safety, and building automation systems
  • Proven experience managing budgets, financial reporting, and cost control initiatives in a facility management environment
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple vendors, contractors, and service providers while ensuring quality and compliance
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills with experience supervising and developing direct reports
  • Strong client relationship management abilities with a track record of delivering exceptional customer service
  • Proficiency with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations, building codes, environmental compliance requirements, and industry best practices


Preferred qualifications:

  • Certified Facility Manager (CFM), Facility Management Professional (FMP), or similar professional certification
  • Experience managing corporate office environments, mission-critical facilities, or Class A commercial properties
  • Background in sustainability initiatives and green building operations including LEED or WELL building certifications
  • Experience with integrated workplace management systems (IWMS) and smart building technologies
  • Project management certification (PMP) or demonstrated project management experience with capital improvement projects
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using data and metrics to drive operational improvements and strategic decision-making

Estimated compensation for this position:

88,000.00 - 99,000.00 USD per year

This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
