About the Role:CBRE is seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to lead integrated facilities operations at one of North America's largest food manufacturing campuses in Waco, Texas. This highly visible role supports a 700,000 sq. ft. production facility that manufactures a significant portion of the nation's popular confectionery products, including fruit-flavored candies, chocolate products, and peanut-based snacks.
Working directly with our client, you will oversee a broad range of facilities services, lead a team of professionals, manage vendor and contractor relationships, and drive operational and financial performance across a complex manufacturing environment.
Schedule: Monday through Friday with occasional weekend support and on-call responsibilities as business needs require.
Important: This manufacturing campus produces a variety of confectionery products, including peanut-containing items. Individuals will regularly work in an environment where peanut products are present.
What You'll Do:- Lead day-to-day facilities operations for a 700,000 sq. ft. manufacturing campus supporting approximately 1,000 onsite associates and 500 contractors.
- Oversee multiple service lines including facilities maintenance, janitorial services, full-service cafeteria operations, security, landscaping, uniforms, and waste management.
- Manage and develop a team of 3-4 direct reports, providing coaching, performance management, and professional development.
- Coordinate vendor, supplier, and contractor activities while ensuring service excellence, compliance, and safety standards are maintained.
- Build strong client partnerships and serve as a key point of contact for operational and facilities-related matters.
- Prepare, manage, and track operating budgets, capital expenditures, financial forecasts, and variance reporting.
- Identify cost savings opportunities and implement initiatives that improve efficiency, service delivery, and overall financial performance.
- Conduct facility inspections, oversee maintenance projects, and ensure adherence to environmental, health, and safety requirements.
What You'll Need:- Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered.
- 3+ years of facilities management, operations, manufacturing, or related leadership experience.
- Experience managing vendors, contractors, and multiple integrated facilities service lines.
- Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets, reporting, forecasting, and cost-saving initiatives.
- Proven people leadership experience, including supervision, coaching, and development of direct reports.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment supporting large employee and contractor populations.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to influence stakeholders and drive results.
