About the Role:As a CBRE Facilities Manager, you will lead the day-to-day operations, maintenance, and performance of a facility, campus, or portfolio of small to medium-sized buildings. You will oversee a team of facilities professionals and serve as a trusted advisor to clients, ensuring operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and an exceptional workplace experience.
This role is part of CBRE's Facilities Management function, where you will drive strategic initiatives, manage vendor and stakeholder relationships, oversee maintenance and capital projects, and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, sustainability, and asset performance. What You Will Do:- Provide formal supervision to employees. Monitor the training and development of staff. Conduct performance evaluations and coaching. Oversee the recruiting and hiring of new employees.
- Schedule and manage the team's daily activities. Establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff. Set and track staff and department deadlines. Mentor and coach as needed.
- Coordinate and manage facility repairs and maintenance by working with technicians, vendors, and contractors.
- Develop and maintain positive client relationships. Conduct regular meetings regarding facility performance, service delivery, and unresolved issues.
- Prepare and manage capital projects, operating budgets, variance reports, and accrual reporting.
- Perform periodic facility inspections for quality assurance and compliance with local, provincial/state, and federal regulations. Recommend operational efficiencies, repairs, and upgrade opportunities.
- Support emergency preparedness planning, site inspections, facility audits, and property profile reporting.
- Develop policies and procedures to ensure contract specifications and service level agreements are achieved.
- Prepare presentations and business cases to obtain approval for facility and capital projects.
- Manage environmental health and safety procedures for facilities.
- Assist in developing strategic facility management objectives and long-term asset plans for clients.
- Oversee vendor relationships and invoicing procedures. Review price quotes for the procurement of parts, services, and labor for projects.
- Conduct process and procedure training on maintenance, repairs, and safety best practices.
- Oversee the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) used to track maintenance activities, work orders, equipment history, and inventory.
- Maintain accurate asset records, work order information, and other relevant data within the CMMS.
- Develop and schedule preventive maintenance programs, work orders, and inspections to enhance operational efficiency and reduce downtime.
- Provide guidance and training to end users on CMMS processes and assist with troubleshooting system-related issues.
- Generate and analyze maintenance performance metrics and reports to identify trends and opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Influence parties of shared interests to reach agreement.
- Apply knowledge of own discipline and how it integrates with others to achieve team and departmental objectives.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve day-to-day and moderately complex issues which may or may not be evident in existing systems and processes.
- Travel periodically to client sites, including occasional domestic and international travel, as required.

What You Will Need:- Bachelor's Degree preferred with 3-5 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Facility Management certification (FMP, CFM, or equivalent) preferred.
- Experience investigating facility maintenance-related issues, identifying root causes, and implementing solutions to improve operational performance.
- Familiarity with CMMS platforms and maintenance management processes, including data entry, reporting, and data integrity management.
- Experience in staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, rewarding performance, and employee retention preferred.
- Ability to guide the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations, and handle problems effectively.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with clients, vendors, technicians, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
- Leadership skills to motivate teams and positively impact quality, efficiency, and operational effectiveness.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with a continuous improvement mindset.
- Advanced math skills with the ability to calculate percentages, fractions, budgets, variances, and other financial-related calculations.

The salary range being offered for the Facilities Manager role is between $95,000 annually and $100,000 annually with a 10% bonus. The compensation that is provided to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience.
