Position Summary:

A Facilities manager ensures buildings, grounds, and infrastructure are safe, well-maintained, and secure. They oversee various aspects of building operations, including maintenance, repairs, and support services like cleaning, security, and IT. The Facilities Manager manages budgets, contracts, and vendor relationships, while also ensuring compliance with OSHA and other regulations and standards. Additionally, the Facilities Manager is responsible for a small department of Shipping and Receiving.

Position Responsibilities - Other duties may be assigned:

Maintenance and Operations
  • Develops and implements detailed facility maintenance plans to ensure the upkeep and optimal performance of company-leased facilities.
  • Proactively collaborates with internal teams and third-party vendors to coordinate facility repairs, preventative maintenance, and capital improvements.
  • Monitors and evaluates facility conditions, identifying areas for improvement, cost-saving opportunities, and long-term capital planning.
  • Ensure landlord's contractual responsibilities for repair and maintenance are executed.

Project Management, Safety and Compliance:
  • Identifies and mitigates risks associated with facility operations including safety hazards, regulatory compliance, and operational inefficiencies. Ensures compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, maintaining safe and functional work environment.
  • In partnership with Operations and Marketing develop/update facility layout SOP's
  • Reporting & documentation. Develops long-term strategies to optimize the use of space and resources within the location portfolio.
  • Budgeting & Financial Oversight
  • Evaluates current and future facility needs based on business growth, geographic requirements, and operational efficiency.
  • Assesses real estate options, manages lease negotiations, and provides recommendations for acquisitions, dispositions, or consolidations of facilities.
  • Participates and acts as a "core team member" in activities such as, company quarterly meetings, national sales meetings, safety, and other meetings as needed.


People Management:
  • Manages and mentors Facilities and Shipping & Receiving team. The Facilities Manager is responsible for the direction and performance of the teams.
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with ALLDATA's policies and procedures. Additional responsibilities include interviewing, training, and motivating employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; rewarding and managing people and resources.
  • Effectively build productive working relationships with direct reports, peers, leadership, and other departments.

Position Requirements:
  • An Associate degree (two-year program) or equivalent formal training program, in the area of architectural design/space planning or equivalent.
  • Certified Facility Manager (CFM) credential, or equivalent required
  • 7+ year experience as a Facilities Supervisor or Manager position.
  • Experience planning and maintaining facility budgets
  • Experienced in Contract Management and handling
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations, standards, and best practices.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.

The salary range for this position is $72,000 - $126,000. When extending an offer of employment, ALLDATA considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, federal, state, and local laws, company financials, as well as external market and organizational considerations.
