The Facilities Manager leads the Planning Organization responsible for the end-to-end planning process of the Melbourne site. The role ensures that workspace, program requirements, and long-range site strategies are aligned with business objectives, stakeholder needs, and regulatory standards. This role will direct the development and upkeep of seating layouts, configuration drawings, as-built documentation, and the site master plan while providing strategic input to the organization's long-range planning efforts.

Basic Required Qualifications:
  • Must either have a bachelor's degree and 9 years of facility related experience or; a master's degree and 7 years of facility related experience or a PhD and 5 years of facility related experience, additional experience in lieu of degree will be considered
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)
  • Must have at least 3 Years of experience successfully managing and leading teams which includes ability to lead and manage teams effectively, fostering collaboration and achieving organizational objectives
  • Experience overseeing and guiding strategic planning for organizations
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance within a reasonable amount of time as determined by business needs


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Management experience within a leadership organization
  • Actively performed strategic planning, occupancy planning or master planning for large organizations
  • Secret Clearance
  • Active Special Access Program (SAP)
  • Experience with Archibus or similar CAFM System


Primary Level Salary Range: $104,600.00 - $156,800.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
