Facilities & Maintenance Supervisor

Role Overview

The Facilities & Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of D.S. Brown's manufacturing facility in North Baltimore, Ohio. This role leads the maintenance team and oversees facility systems, utilities, production equipment, and capital improvement projects to maximize equipment uptime and support production goals. Partnering closely with Operations, Safety, HR, and Purchasing, the Facilities & Maintenance Supervisor drives preventive maintenance programs, continuous improvement initiatives, and regulatory compliance. This position plays a critical role in maintaining operational excellence, product quality, and a safe working environment.

What You'll Do
  • Lead and develop the maintenance team to support safe, efficient, and reliable plant operations.
  • Manage preventive and predictive maintenance programs to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
  • Oversee maintenance and repair of facility systems, including electrical, HVAC, boilers, compressed air, hydraulics, and production equipment.
  • Utilize CMMS software to manage work orders, maintenance schedules, inventory, and reporting activities.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, environmental requirements, and ISO 9001 standards.
  • Lead equipment installations, facility upgrades, capital improvement projects, and contractor activities while managing budgets and timelines.
  • Partner with Production, Safety, and Operations teams to coordinate maintenance activities and minimize operational disruptions.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean principles to enhance productivity, safety, and overall facility performance.
  • Support recruiting, training, coaching, performance management, and development of maintenance personnel.

What You'll Bring

Must-Haves

Location, Travel and Compensation

  • The estimated salary range for this role is 80-110,000 annually, depending on experience, location, and qualifications.
