Full Job Description
Position Summary

This position functions as the manager for the FIIT Team. This unit is tasked with supporting DOC's 160+ worksites around the State of Wisconsin.

The FIIT team provides remote support and regularly travels 24/7 to locations to design, implement, and maintain all surveillance, a variety of facility-based systems, and all related elements (including - but not limited to - wide and local area networking (WAN/LAN), firewalls, servers, workstations, storage, several security electronic systems, web filtering & radio systems) for all locations. Additionally, this team is the subject matter expert (SME) for DOC's UAS (Unmanned Arial Surveillance, "drones") related issues/activities and is the operational support provider for all unique and innovative technology at the DOC.

In conjunction with the other teams in the Enterprise Infrastructure Section, the FIIT Team extends and maintains OTIS to support DAI's prison industries, the Offender Technology Infrastructure Services (OTIS) network, electronic health records (EHR) infrastructure; inmate access to Internet for legal and job search services, and access to any Internet services requested and approved by DOC Management.

Salary Information

The starting pay is between $114400 and $135657 per year, plus excellent benefits. Pay will be set in accordance with the Compensation Plan and Wisconsin Administrative Code in effect at the time of hire. The pay schedule/range is 70-02. A two-year Career Executive trial period is required.

Job Details

Applicants must be legally entitled to work in the United States (i.e., a citizen or national of the U.S., a lawful permanent resident, an alien authorized to work in the U.S. without DOC sponsorship) at the time of application. The Department of Corrections will conduct criminal background checks on applicants prior to selection to determine whether the circumstances of any conviction may be related to the job being filled. Upon hire, all new DOC employees are subject to fingerprinting.

NOTE: This position is eligible to work remotely up to 3 days per week. For positions that allow remote working flexibility, working outside of Wisconsin will not be allowed.

Qualifications

Minimally qualified applicants will have experience:
• Performing supervision or lead-worker activities such as coordinating work activities, hiring, assigning/directing/evaluating work, managing employees, etc.
• Performing activities to support network (LAN/WAN) team in professional environment.
• Performing activities to support video surveillance systems in professional environment
• Establishing and implementing technology and technical architecture standards.

In addition to the above, well-qualified applicants will have experience:
• Supporting and configuring networking tools and software packages.
• Supporting security electronic systems (Guard1, KeyTracer) in a professional environment
• Supporting Wi-Fi networks in a professional environment
