Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and oversee daily maintenance and repairs of buildings and equipment

  • Coordinate with third-party vendors for maintenance services
  • Track and report on repairs, projects, and supplies

Full Job Description

The Facilities Foreman plans, schedules, supervises, and maintains the buildings, grounds, and equipment at the highest level of care. The Facilities Foreman will assign, delegate and track work order assignments to ensure that they are completed in a safe, proper and timely manner.


It is also the responsibility of the Facilities Foreman to respond to and handle after-hours emergencies as needed and/or as directed. The Facilities Foreman will also be expected to perform the same duties as a Facilities Technician.


This is an MTM Transit position located at our office in Austin, TX. 


Pay Rate: $38.66/hr


Schedule: 9:00am - 5:30pm, Monday - Friday


What You'll Do: 

  • Coordinate, oversee and perform day-to-day maintenance and repairs of buildings, grounds and equipment
  • Perform and provide oversight for staff who install, inspect, repair, and maintain building systems, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, safety, and hydraulic systems
  • Keeps Fleet and Facilities Manager up to date on all pertinent activities
  • Maintains a safe and effective working environment
  • Coordinate with all 3rd party Vendors dedicated to facilities maintenance and repair, utilities generation and distribution, custodial, landscaping, and other maintenance services
  • Track and report on all, repair work, projects, equipment, work orders, daily maintenance, and supplies to ensure jobs are completed efficiently and on time
  • Identify cost saving opportunities
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to achieve the goals and adhere to Company policies
  • Other duties as assigned

What You'll Need:

Experience, Education, & Certifications: 

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 3-5 years of Facility Management experience
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license

Skills: 

  • Knowledge and ability to diagnose, repair and maintain building systems and shop equipment
  • Accurate and precise attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills
  • Good analytical/critical thinking ability
  • Knowledge of basic finance and accounting skills
  • Able to follow all Company policies and procedures
  • Ideal candidate will have a positive attitude and be a problem-solver
  • Ability to physically stand, bend, squat, and lift up to 25 to 30 pounds
  • Strict adherence to Company philosophy/mission statement/goals
  • Ability to work flexible hours as required
