Full Job Description
Reporting to the Director of Engineering, you will be located onsite in East Hanover, NJ, at our Ridgedale facility. Your responsibilities will include planning and managing the inspection, maintenance, and continuous improvement of facilities, including commercial, office, laboratory, and technical support facilities. These facilities encompass building infrastructure, utilities, electrical and mechanical systems, workplace technologies, and specialized laboratory equipment. Ensure a safe, compliant, efficient, and reliable working environment that enables business operations, innovation, collaboration, and customer engagement without disruption.
Strategy Design and Execution
• Provide input to the local business and facilities strategy regarding workspace utilization, laboratory capabilities, infrastructure reliability, sustainability initiatives, critical maintenance activities, asset lifecycle planning, and service continuity.
• Adapt and implement functional strategies locally and develop tactical and operational plans supporting commercial, laboratory, and office functions.
• Support workplace modernization initiatives that enhance employee experience, collaboration, operational efficiency, and business continuity.
Function Management
• Lead a team of maintenance and facilities specialists responsible for maintaining office, laboratory, and support infrastructure at a commercial and innovation-focused site.
• Collaborate with regional partners to develop preventive and predictive maintenance programs. These programs will optimize the reliability, availability, and performance of buildings, utilities, HVAC systems, laboratory equipment, life-safety systems, and workplace technologies.
• Define operating and capital budgets based on maintenance requirements, asset replacement plans, infrastructure improvements, and compliance needs.
• Conduct audits and inspections to ensure facilities, systems, laboratory environments, and users comply with EHS, Quality, building code, and regulatory requirements.
• Identify, recommend, and implement improvements that enhance facility performance, energy efficiency, occupant comfort, safety, and operational effectiveness.
• Manage maintenance inventories, service contracts, and critical spare parts to support business continuity while optimizing costs.
• In coordination with Procurement, select, manage, and evaluate external service providers, contractors, and facility partners.
• Support engineering and capital projects involving offices, laboratories, utilities, workplace technologies, and building infrastructure, including commissioning and operational readiness activities.
• Execute the annual operating plan within approved budgets and performance targets.
• Ensure effective facility response and recovery plans are in place for infrastructure-related business continuity risks.
You?
• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Civil or Mechanical or Facilities Engineering or equivalent engineering degree
• 10+ years of experience managing facilities, equipment and people
• PMP or another professional project management certification
• Handle high complexity, lead large scale projects or multiple processes (technical solutions, number of stakeholders, disciplines, contractors)
• Demonstrates Talent planning and development experience with responsibility for assessing, coaching, motivating and qualifying staff
• Manages multidisciplinary teams of internal specialists and stakeholders

The established target salary range for this position is $115,000-$145,000. Actual compensation will depend on individual qualifications. Education and experience partly determine Job Title and Base Salary, with our compensation program guidelines determining them.
