We are seeking a Facilities Engineer to join our Lloydminster Conventional team in Calgary. Reporting to the Team Lead, Facilities, this position will be responsible for the facilities engineering activities associated with the Conventional Heavy Oil assets. The role involves collaborating closely with Field Operations and Production Engineering teams to optimize facility and pipeline operations, equipment reliability, asset longevity, and operating costs, while creating and executing capital projects and facility improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities:- Identify and communicate project and/or team challenges and proposed solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Production, Operations, HSER, and Marketing, to identify and implement opportunities that improve production, operational efficiency, and asset performance.
- Execute MOC projects and repairs in a timely and effective manner.
- Design, construct, and modify small and large brownfield facilities, including new well tie-ins, oil batteries, pipelines, compression, and polymer equipment projects.
- Support commissioning, decommissioning, and abandonment activities for pipelines and facilities.
- Manage EPCs, vendors, service companies, procurement services, construction contractors, and facility construction supervisors.
- Support failure analysis and reliability studies.
- Partner with Drilling, Completions, and Operations teams to develop and execute safe, efficient facility construction and modification plans that minimize production disruptions.
- Coordinate field scouting activities with survey, environmental and regulatory, and construction resources to select the best routing for new pipelines.
- Meet or exceed cost, quality, capital efficiency, and schedule targets through effective engineering design, project management, and communication with stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate equipment and asset data in Maximo.
- Promote a strong safety culture by ensuring compliance with HSER requirements, regulatory codes, and PEIMS/PIM standards, and participate in risk and safeguard reviews for facility and pipeline projects.
- Adhere to the APEGA and APEGS Professional Practice Management Plan (PPMP).
Qualifications:- Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) registered with APEGA or APEGS.
- 2+ years of relevant industry experience.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new systems, software, and tools.
- Strong teamwork, collaboration, stakeholder engagement, and communication skills.
