We are currently looking for our:Facilities Director - UTC San DiegoWhat we offer This is a full-time management role responsible for directing the day-to-day facilities operations of the property, including the shopping center and affiliated business units. This leadership role supports the URW vision of serving our communities, enabling meaningful customer connections, and reshaping how people shop, live, work, and play-delivering a best-in-class customer experience by elevating the shopping center environment and enabling a seamless customer journey.
Scope- Direct and oversee all day-to-day facilities operations of the property and affiliated business units, including operating and capital budgeting, expense control, preventive maintenance programs, building systems management (HVAC, plumbing, fire/life safety, electrical), aesthetics, and customer experience.
- Provide leadership, supervision, training, and coaching to a team of contract maintenance engineers.
- Develop, implement, and monitor a comprehensive Preventive Maintenance Program to maximize equipment life and operational efficiency.
- Utilize facilities operational platforms such as CMMS, BMS/EMS, and contractor management systems and ensure data integrity and optimization.
- Attend recurring action and asset meetings contributing to operational and capital expenditure planning.
- Manage on-site equipment and asset inventories.
- Oversee or participate in project management, financials, vendor management, sustainability initiatives, safety compliance, and central plant operations.
Technical & Regulatory Knowledge- Working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Ability to read blueprints, construction documents, and lease plans.
- Experience with CAD, Bluebeam, CMMS, BMS/EMS, and cloud-based platforms.
- Mechanical systems knowledge including HVAC, central plants, chillers, boilers, VAVs, and VFDs.
- Knowledge of elevators, escalators, electrical systems, fire/life safety systems, and ADA compliance.
Additional Responsibilities- Maintain responsive communication with tenants regarding operational matters.
- Coordinate logistics related to access, deliveries, and screenings.
- Support tenant construction to ensure on-time store openings.
Qualifications & Experience- Bachelor's degree (BA or BS) required, or equivalent experience.
- 3-5+ years of progressive facilities management experience in retail, commercial, hospitality, or related environments.
- Minimum two (2) years of supervisory experience.
- Professional designations from BOMA, IFMA, or IREM preferred.

Compensation - $123k -150k per year + Annual Discretionary Bonus
