The Fabrication Supervisor serves as a front-line operations leader responsible for executing daily manufacturing activities in a high-tempo, precision machining environment. This role ensures mission readiness by delivering production output, meeting order fulfillment requirements, and maintaining alignment with engineering and quality standards.

The Supervisor leads a team of Machinists within a large-scale production facility, overseeing the effective deployment of personnel, equipment, and resources. This position emphasizes disciplined execution, problem-solving, and continuous process improvement to achieve operational and financial objectives.

Essential Responsibilities

Operations & Execution
  • Execute established operational procedures to ensure consistent and reliable production performance.
  • Monitor production schedules and ensure timely completion of work to meet delivery commitments.
  • Manage personnel assignments, equipment availability, and tooling readiness to sustain operational effectiveness.
  • Assign and supervise work activities, ensuring compliance with technical specifications and precision tolerances.
  • Interpret engineering requirements and coordinate with Engineering and Quality teams to resolve technical or process issues.
  • Analyze production demand and develop resource plans (personnel, equipment, tooling, and materials) to meet operational requirements.

Resource & Financial Stewardship
  • Support adherence to budget and cost-control measures while maintaining operational efficiency.
  • Identify inefficiencies, production constraints, and risks; implement corrective actions to improve performance and throughput.
  • Assist with reporting, audits, and tracking of operational metrics to ensure accountability and performance alignment.


Leadership & Team Development
  • Lead, mentor, and develop team members, fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and high performance.
  • Provide clear directions, coaching, and feedback to ensure personnel are trained and equipped to meet expectations.
  • Promote a safe, disciplined, and mission-focused work environment.
  • Drive performance management processes, ensuring goals are clearly communicated and achieved.


Continuous Improvement & Process Optimization
  • Lead initiatives to improve workflow, productivity, and operational efficiency.
  • Apply Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement principles to reduce waste and enhance performance.
  • Support line balancing, production flow improvements, and process standardization efforts.


Position Requirements

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, high degree of ownership, and accountability in decision-making.

  • Demonstrate the ability to train, coach, influence, and motivate personnel while maintaining high accountability and performance standards.

Equal Pay Act Range

Min. $107,400.00 to Max. $160,200.00
