We are seeking a Fabrication Shop Manager to lead piping fabrication and skid assembly operations within a fabrication shop environment. In this role, you will plan, coordinate, and supervise shop activities to ensure projects are executed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with applicable codes, standards, and quality requirements. You will lead shop personnel, manage resources, and drive continuous improvement across fabrication operations.
What You Will Do- Plan, schedule, and oversee piping fabrication and skid assembly activities to meet production targets and project deadlines.
- Interpret isometric drawings, P&IDs, specifications, and work orders to ensure accurate fabrication.
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, quality, and project management teams to support execution.
- Monitor work progress and adjust manpower, equipment, and materials as needed.
- Enforce company and regulatory safety policies and promote a strong safety culture.
- Conduct toolbox talks, safety briefings, and incident investigations.
- Ensure fabrication meets drawings, specifications, and customer requirements.
- Coordinate inspections, NDE activities, dimensional checks, and pressure testing.
- Supervise foremen, welders, fitters, material handlers, QAQC, project management, and support staff.
- Control material flow, scrap, rework, and fabrication costs while supporting productivity improvements.
- Provide production, manpower, and status reports and communicate risks and mitigation plans to management.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives, including lean manufacturing and 5S efforts.
Position Details- Travel: Minimal travel expected for meetings and training.
- Based out of our Fabrication Shop in Chandler, AZ.
Minimum Qualifications- 5-7 years of experience in piping fabrication and skid assembly.
- 3-5 years of experience in a managerial or supervisory role within fabrication operations.
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, ERP systems, Autodesk, and Navisworks.

Annual or Hourly Compensation Range:The pay range for this position is $130,000-$150,000 Many factors are taken into consideration when determining compensation, such as experience, education, training, geography, etc. We comply with all minimum wage and overtime laws.
