Schneider Electric has a great opportunity for a Fabrication Production Planner in our El Paso, TX location.

As a Fabrication Production Planner at Schneider Electric, you will be responsible for developing and executing production plans that support manufacturing demand while ensuring material availability, capacity optimization, and schedule adherence. You will coordinate closely with manufacturing, procurement, warehouse, and supply chain teams to manage production schedules, order releases, and the flow of raw materials throughout the fabrication process.

What will you do in this position?

  • Develop and maintain production schedules to support current and upcoming demand requirements.
  • Manage fabrication downstream planning across production models including BTS (Build-to-Stock), BTO (Build-to-Order), and OFO.
  • Lead Master Production Schedule (MPS) communication meetings and manage order release planning.
  • Execute effective work order planning and release processes to ensure smooth production flow.
  • Analyze demand forecasts, inventory levels, capacity constraints, and product mix to create optimized production plans.
  • Coordinate with Planner Buyers, Manufacturing, and Warehouse teams to ensure material availability and on-time production execution.
  • Monitor production performance and adjust schedules to address delays, material shortages, and changing business priorities.
  • Balance production capacity, labor, and equipment utilization to maximize efficiency and productivity.
  • Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs), including MPS adherence, work order confirmations, and material shortage service levels.
  • Proactively communicate material shortage risks and production impacts to operations teams.
  • Identify and resolve supply chain issues that could impact production output.
  • Maintain optimal inventory levels by preventing both overproduction and material shortages.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to support new product introductions and engineering changes.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance planning accuracy, productivity, and overall operational performance.
  • Utilize SAP and MES (Symmetry) systems to manage production planning and execution activities.


What qualifications will make you successful for this role?
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Operations, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in production planning, supply chain, or manufacturing operations within a fabrication or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of production planning, Master Production Scheduling (MPS), and order release processes.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP Planning or SAP Materials Management (MM), including MRP execution, order release management, and raw material flow management to support production schedules and operational efficiency.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing planning models, including BTS, BTO, and OFO.
  • Ability to analyze demand, inventory, capacity, and material availability to develop effective production plans.
  • Experience collaborating with procurement, manufacturing, warehouse, and supply chain teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with the ability to independently resolve operational challenges.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Experience with SQL and Tableau is preferred but not required.
  • Strong focus on continuous improvement, operational excellence, and customer service.

For this U.S. based position, the expected pay range is USD 86,400 - USD 129,600 per year. This pay range includes base pay and short-term incentives. The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States. Our pay ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the pay range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
