Fabrication ManagerCompensation: $80K - $90K
Schedule: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM (with flexibility to start as early as 5:30 AM and occasional Saturday shifts, 1-2 times per month)
Reports To: Sr. Director of Operations
Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Fabrication Manager to oversee the daily operations of our Machine and Paint Shop. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fabrication environments, including manufacturing and assembly processes, and will be responsible for aligning workload distribution with production schedules.Key Responsibilities:- Oversee daily fabrication activities across first and second shifts.
- Plan and coordinate production schedules in line with sales forecasts.
- Manage workload across departments to ensure timely production.
- Ensure accurate production-related data is reflected in ERP systems.
- Maintain raw material inventory and collaborate with Purchasing for timely material orders.
- Train staff on machinery use and safety protocols.
- Develop and maintain safety reports and ensure compliance with safety policies.
- Collaborate with Engineering to support prototype manufacturing and new product introductions.
- Track key production metrics and recommend improvements.
Qualifications:- Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
- Experience: 7-8 years in a fabrication environment, including experience managing production teams.
- Technical Skills: Ability to read detailed engineering drawings and hands-on experience with manufacturing machinery (e.g., automated paintlines, laser/punch, press brake, welding equipment).
- Project Management: Solid project management skills with the ability to scope, plan, and execute projects independently.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills; bilingual skills are a plus.
- Lean Manufacturing: Knowledge of 5S, LEAN, and KAIZEN methodologies preferred.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
