We are seeking qualified individuals for the role of Supervisor - Operations & Maintenance. **Please note that this is not a fly-in, fly-out position and will be based in Labrador West, NL.** This position will require candidates to work a 7 on 7 off shift - 12-hour shifts (day/night). **Job Responsibilities:** - Supervise Maintenance or Operational teams; inspire and drive engagement, productivity, and performance. - Drive a safety culture ensuring compliance with all safety policies. - Coordinate and execute planned maintenance & operation activities through effective utilization of resources, tools, parts and equipment. - Provide leadership by setting clear expectations, providing feedback, and promoting teamwork. - Develop the capabilities of the maintenance & operations teams through training and coaching, as well as create effective working relationships between maintenance and operational groups to ensure effective communication and alignment of activities. - Assist with the development of budgets and cost control while also implementing health and safety systems within the maintenance & operation areas to ensure work is executed safely. - Ensure compliance with federal and provincial regulations. **Skills and Qualifications:** - Strong verbal and written communication skills including the ability to effectively train and mentor employees. - Working knowledge of processing facility operations and open pit mining in the Mining industry including maintenance, safety, equipment, and staff utilization. - Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills - Comfortable with a fast-paced environment - Self-starter with an ability to work with limited supervision - Excellent work ethic and attendance record - Able to work 12-hour shifts, 7 on, 7 off (days and nights) **Education** - High School Diploma (or equivalency) - Secondary School (considered an asset) - Red Seal Millwright/Welder/Electrician or Operational experience would be considered an asset **License** - Valid Driver's License (Required)
