Full Job Description
For this U.S. based position, the expected compensation range is $114,400 - $171,600 per year, which
includes base pay and short-term incentive.

The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United
States. Our salary ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Within
the salary range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Schneider Electric also offers a
comprehensive benefits package to support our employees, inclusive of medical (with member reward

The GTS DevOps Engineer will help drive infrastructure automation and orchestration strategy. This role will involve working on CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code (IaC), and other various infrastructure services to streamline IT and cloud infrastructure operations. The ideal candidate is proficient in Kubernetes, Terraform, and CI/CD tools, with a passion for improving deployment speed, system reliability, and security. You'll work alongside our Cloud\Microservices & Automation teams to help build their solutions and help support our GitOps framework for our multi-cloud environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Cloud & DevOps Engineering (AWS and GCP Infra focus)
  • Design, build, and maintain environments, ensuring security, cost optimization, and scalability.
  • Work closely with the Cloud & Microservices Architecture teams to implement solutions.
  • Automate cloud infrastructure provisioning using Terraform.
  • Implement serverless computing and containerized application strategies.

CI/CD & Developer Experience
  • Own GitHub Actions workflows for build, test, security scanning, and deployment.
  • Implement reusable pipelines, caching, testing matrices, and environment promotions.
  • Partner with teams to containerize services and define deployment strategies.

Monitoring, Logging & Security
  • Deploy and manage monitoring, logging and alerting solutions.
  • Implement IAM policies, secrets management, and vulnerability scanning.
  • Ensure compliance with security best practices and cloud governance frameworks.

Collaboration & Process Optimization
  • Work closely with development, security, and IT Teams to drive DevOps best practices and automation adoption.
  • Advocate for GitOps, DevSecOps, and Agile methodologies.
  • Document processes, workflows, and best practices for wider team enablement.
  • Mentor more junior engineers.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to share standards and roadmaps.


Required Skills and Experience (7+ years)
  • 7+ years in DevOps/SRE/Platform engineering roles.
  • Expertise with GitHub and GitHub Actions.
  • Strong Terraform experience (modules, policies, automation).
  • Proficiency in Python.
  • Deep Kubernetes experience.
  • Cloud experience in AWS and GCP.
  • Strong networking, Linux, and infrastructure fundamentals.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a Computer Science subject or equivalent demonstrable professional experience.
  • Certifications in AWS, GCP, Kubernetes, or Terraform.
  • GitOps tools (GitHub Actions/ArgoCD).
  • Service mesh (Istio\Linkerd).
  • IaC policy frameworks.
