Experienced Support Integration Specialist​

Boeing Global Services, Maintenance Engineering, C-17 Technical Data Services organization is seeking an Experienced Support Integration Specialist to support the horizontal integration, project management, and technical data updates for United States Air Force (USAF) Technical Orders (TOs). This position is located in Warner Robbins, GA.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the end-to-end integration of technical data updates across engineering, sustainment, and customer teams to ensure timely and accurate updates to United States Air Force C-17 Technical Orders (TOs).

  • Serve as the primary project manager for technical data changes, coordinating across engineering, logistics, maintenance, configuration management, and customer support.

  • Plan and execute technical data projects, including schedules, budgets, resource estimates, and project objectives.

  • Develop and maintain Basis of Estimate (BOE) data, including affected TOs, page counts, scope, and cost/schedule impacts.

  • Review PRRs, engineering changes, and source data to determine scope, affected publications, and implementation approach.

  • Analyze engineering data and drawings to assess impacts to TOs and related technical publications.

  • Track engineering release status to ensure authoring and markup activities begin only after approved data is available.

  • Apply knowledge of ATA specifications, MILSPEC requirements, aviation maintenance, engineering development, certification, and sustainment practices.

  • Support technical publication development and sustainment for military aircraft programs, considering both strategic and tactical impacts.

  • Coordinate and participate in program reviews and change boards, communicating scope, risks, cost, schedule, and implementation status.

  • Support Fielding Certification Board (FCB) activities and ensure technical data is completed prior to fielding.

  • Use tools such as IPDM, GitLab, shared drives, and publishing systems to manage project data, reporting, and document control.

  • Coordinate with engineers, technical writers, and cross-functional teams to validate source data and implement approved changes.

  • Support authoring and publishing activities using tools such as XPP, Arbortext, and Contenta.

  • Create and deliver technical data packages in compliance with contract, quality, and customer requirements.

  • Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for assigned systems and support technical data impact assessments.

  • Lead multiple concurrent projects, balancing priorities, resources, schedules, and customer commitments.

  • Resolve issues across stakeholders using strong communication, collaboration, and project leadership skills.

  • Mentor junior team members in technical data processes, project execution, and publication best practices.

  • Monitor project status, risks, deliverables, and metrics, and support process improvements and proposal activities.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher.

  • 10+ years of experience in engineering project planning or project management.

  • 10+ years of experience in at least one of the following Integrated Product Support elements: Product Support Management, Supply Support, Maintenance Planning and Management, Technical Data, Support Equipment, Sustaining Engineering, or Design for Maintainability/Supportability.

  • 10+ years of experience with reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications (e.g., blueprint/schematic reading, specification, change, design.)

  • 10+ years of collaborating with Senior level executives and/or project management and/or complex operations.

  • 10+ years of experience with technical publication.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)

  • 5+ years of experience with project management and the ability to work on several projects simultaneously.

  • Experience with USAF Technical Orders and military technical publication development and sustainment.

  • In-depth knowledge of military and/or commercial operations and maintenance technical publications.

  • Experience applying ATA specifications, MILSPEC requirements, and technical publication standards.

  • Experience supporting military aircraft programs across engineering development, certification, and sustainment.

  • Experience with technical publication tools such as XPP, Arbortext, Contenta, and IPDM.

  • Experience with configuration management, change control, and engineering data impact assessment.

  • Strong understanding of aviation maintenance concepts and technical data impacts.

  • Experience leading cross-functional stakeholders through planning, scheduling, execution, and delivery.

  • Demonstrated project leadership skills, including conflict resolution, delegation, prioritization, and management of multiple projects.

  • Strong interpersonal communication skills and ability to assess strategic and tactical impacts of project decisions.

  • Experience mentoring junior team members or support specialists.

  • Experience with project management methodologies such as Agile or PMP.
