Senior Associate (Full-Time)
  • Start Date: Rolling, based on candidate availability

We're hiring experienced Senior Associates for this position:Professionals currently working, with relevant experience in consulting, due diligence, or related private equity advisory work.


Key Responsibilities

WHAT YOU'LL DO

As a Senior Associate, you'll be part of a collegial and entrepreneurial environment. Our work is fast-paced and provides opportunities for rapid skill and knowledge development. Senior Associates gain experience across a broad set of industries while working on a case team with two to eight team members, taking on a high level of responsibility in the work and in client presentations.
  • Assessing investment and growth opportunities for private equity firms and corporate clients
  • Gaining an in-depth understanding of a wide variety of industries
  • Synthesizing research and analysis to deliver answers to clients' key questions
  • Assuming a high level of responsibility on client teams as well as within the firm
  • Designing and conducting market research to answer critical client questions, such as:
    • How is the company positioned relative to competitors?
    • How do customers perceive the company versus alternatives?
    • What are the most promising opportunities for expansion or improvement?
    • How large is the market, and what is its growth trajectory?
    • What drives market growth and profitability?
  • Preparing analyses, synthesizing findings, and delivering actionable insights to clients
  • Collaborating with team members to create high-impact presentations for senior executives and investors


EXPECTATIONS
  • Analyze, synthesize, and present complex data, such as market size and share, and competitive landscape dynamics
  • Demonstrate the ability to synthesize quantitative and qualitative data into actionable insights
  • Stay comfortable with ambiguity and tight timelines; lead multiple workstreams in parallel
  • Work in a double staffing model (2+ projects simultaneously)
  • Deliver client-ready communication, including executive presentation development and delivery
  • Design and conduct company- and market-specific informational interviews

  • 2-4 years of consulting experience required (management consulting, strategy consulting, or related advisory experience)
  • Advanced analytical and modeling skills, including the ability to build complex financial models and run sophisticated quantitative analyses (market sizing, pricing, scenario/sensitivity work)
  • High proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Exceptional research, analytical, and quantitative skills
  • Ability to work independently and in teams in a fast-paced environment
  • Clear, concise verbal and written communication skills
  • Intellectual curiosity and a drive to solve complex business problems

Compensation
  • Pay range expected for the position: $108,000 and $115,000 USD annually (the position level and compensation for this role may vary and will be determined based on the candidate's experience, skills, and qualifications)
  • Pay is issued on a semi-monthly basis
  • IGS also offers an annual discretionary bonus tied to individual and company performance, along with a comprehensive benefits package and a potential starting bonus


Additional Information

IGS sponsors employees for H-1B visas, including H-1B transfers for candidates currently on sponsorship elsewhere.

IGS has four U.S. offices located in Boston, MA; New York, NY; Chicago, IL; and San Francisco, CA. This role will be based in the Boston office, with opportunities to explore other locations as you gain experience at the firm.
