Boeing Defense & Space (BDS) is currently looking for a
ExperiencedProduct Review Engineer (
Liaison Engineer) to join the Patriot Advanced Capability 3 (PAC-3) team located in
Huntsville, AL. This unique position is seeking engineers with Material Review and Disposition experience, to perform/support troubleshooting of non-conformances, RCCA technical analysis and provide solutions to non-conforming products. This position will work directly with cross-functional and production engineering teams to meet production program objectives.
Position Responsibilities: - Performing SPC reviews and Seeker Troubleshooting
- Applies basic knowledge of Boeing design and/or engineering principles to develop interim or final engineering solutions to product/process issues throughout the production lifecycle
- Analyzes, conducts root cause analysis and develops dispositions for design non-conformances
- Applies engineering principles to research technical, operational and quality issues to develop interim and final engineering solutions
- Provides written dispositions for routine design non-conformances
- Participates in Material Review Boards (As Required)
- Represents the engineering community in the production environment, providing lineside support
- Recommends simple non-destructive test procedures, tools, standards
- Ensures supplier and build partner compliance with Boeing standards
- Develops and implements product/process improvements
- This position may require shift flexibility, based on business needs
- Must be able to work weekends and holidays as needed, based on business needs
- Non-standard work week options may also be utilized to meet business objectives
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience): - Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
- Knowledge of repair concepts and methodologies including standard repair processes, component repair concepts, structural and composite repair procedures, electrical repair procedures, and basic system repair processes
- 2+ years of experience with Material Review Board / Liaison Engineering (MRB / LE) Authority (including participating in Material Review Board and Integrated Product Team activities related to repairs)
- Willing to work variable shifts, including weekends and overtime if required
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills & Experience):- 5+ year Material Review Board Certification experience
- 5+ years of experience gathering data and performing a Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA)
- 5+ years Production engineering experience with relevant technological knowledge
- Experience in solving simple to complex problems
- 5+ years Electrical/mechanical system knowledge, troubleshooting, fault isolation, and repair methodology
- Knowledge of circuit card manufacturing, including Selective Solder and SMT
- 5 + years Functional system level testing
Typical Experience:Level 3: 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications
Level 4: 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary pay range:
Level 3: $103,700 - $140,300
Level 4: $126,650 - $171,350
