Our technicians service fleet accounts, commercial vans, medium-duty trucks, and business vehicles, performing everything from preventative maintenance to advanced diagnostics and repairs. RESPONSIBILITIES- Diagnose, inspect, maintain, and repair fleet vehicles and medium-duty trucks according to manufacturer and dealership standards.
- Perform preventative maintenance services, including oil changes, inspections, brakes, steering, suspension, cooling systems, driveline, HVAC, and electrical repairs.
- Diagnose gas and diesel engine performance concerns using factory and aftermarket diagnostic equipment.
- Complete repairs efficiently while maintaining a high level of quality and accuracy.
- Perform comprehensive vehicle inspections and identify additional maintenance or repair needs.
- Accurately document all diagnostics, repairs, and recommendations on repair orders.
- Road test vehicles as necessary to verify repairs and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Properly care for dealership tools, equipment, and diagnostic equipment.
- Follow all dealership, manufacturer, OSHA, EPA, and safety procedures.
- Stay current on manufacturer training, new vehicle technology, and repair procedures.
- Work collaboratively with service advisors, parts personnel, and fellow technicians to deliver outstanding customer service.
QUALIFICATIONS- Previous experience as an automotive, fleet, diesel, or medium-duty technician preferred.
- Strong diagnostic, electrical, and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
- Experience performing maintenance and repairs on commercial fleet vehicles, vans, and medium-duty trucks is highly preferred.
- Experience with gas and diesel powertrains.
- Ability to operate diagnostic scan tools and other shop equipment.
- ASE certifications are a plus but not required.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (CDL is a plus but not required).
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple repair orders in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform the physical demands of an automotive technician position.
