We have an exciting opportunity for an Experience Manager at Eversheds Sutherland (US) LLP. We are searching for someone who wants to be a valued contributor and member of a talented and dynamic team of lawyers, paralegals and business professionals.

The Experience Manager will work within the firm's Client Development Department as the business owner and product lead for the Foundation experience and client intelligence platform. The role is responsible for driving adoption, enablement, governance, and strategic use of Foundation across business professionals and lawyers, with a focus on client development, marketing, and firm growth. The Experience Manager partners closely with the firm's Innovation, Data, Knowledge & Research, IT, and Legal teams to ensure strong data quality, integrations, ethical controls, and analytics, while maintaining a user-centered, self-serve model with appropriate guardrails.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Adoption & Enablement: Lead training, onboarding, and change management for Foundation, with particular focus on Client Development, BD managers, pitch teams, and other business professionals.
  • Ethical Walls & Risk Controls: Lead implementation and testing of ethical walls in partnership with the General Counsel's office, PMO, and Innovation team; validate scenarios and oversee controlled rollout to lawyers.
  • Data Quality, Governance & Taxonomy: Own business stewardship of experience data; partner with Innovation, Data, and Knowledge & Research on taxonomy standards, governance frameworks, data models, and integrations.
  • Integration & Platform Evolution: Oversee Foundation integrations (e.g., Entegrata data lake, Courtroom Insights, Sitecore website) in close collaboration with Innovation and IT.
  • Practice & Group Workflows: Work with BD managers and practice groups to design and implement workflows for experience capture, pitches, directory submissions, and league tables.
  • Global BD Content Governance: Oversee global BD content stored in Foundation (brochures, one-pagers, sector and practice descriptions, capabilities statements), including workflows, audits, and refresh cycles.
  • Metrics, Analytics & Reporting: Define and track Foundation-related metrics; partner with BD, Digital Marketing, and Data teams to support reporting, insight generation, and downstream analytics.
  • AI Enablement: Support implementation of AI and LLM-driven capabilities leveraging Foundation data, ensuring responsible use, governance, and business value.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Education: A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is required, preferably with an emphasis in Business Administration and Marketing.

Experience: A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in a business development or marketing role within a law firm or legal environment. Experience with the "Foundation" platform strongly preferred; experience with comparable system considered.

Skills:

  • Proven experience in a law firm business development role, with an emphasis on marketing technology and a deep understanding of the legal profession and its unique dynamics.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and engage effectively with lawyers and other legal professionals at all levels.
  • Ability to articulate the value of digital marketing technologies in supporting business development and client service efforts within a law firm context.
  • Familiarity with experience management concepts and their application in a legal environment.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to translate between legal business needs and system capabilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive adoption of new initiatives and foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Adept at learning and understanding new systems and processes without requiring extensive technical background.

This is a hybrid role and will require on-site presence 3 days per week. The salary ranges for this position vary depending on the geographic location and other factors such as experience, internal equity, market data, and job-related considerations. The range for this position is from $100,000 - $130,000, with offers contingent upon the various factors. The firm's compensation strategy includes not just a base salary but also comprehensive benefits such as healthcare, paid time off, discretionary merit bonuses, life and disability insurance, retirement plans and tailored learning opportunities.
