Job Summary

The Exercise & Training Analyst will focus primarily on enterprise training activities, while supporting related exercise activities across Emergency Management, Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery, operational resilience, incident management, and enterprise preparedness in alignment with the Enterprise Resilience Policy and the Training, Exercise and Evaluation Standard. This role assists with exercise and training material development, facilitation logistics, evidence collection, exercise documentation, after-action reporting, corrective-action tracking, records maintenance, and program reporting, with an emphasis on establishing and maintaining reliable systems of record for training completion, supporting evidence, and audit-ready documentation. The Analyst supports validation activities by coordinating logistics, capturing evidence, documenting results, and assisting with assessment against defined objectives, assumptions, dependencies, RTO/RPO expectations, validation criteria, and success measures. Assignments may focus on exercise activities, training activities, Disaster Recovery testing, or integrated exercise and training efforts based on program needs. The Analyst contributes to consistent, audit-ready documentation and supports readiness activities under moderate guidance.

What You'll Do:

Essential Job Functions & Tasks:
  • Assists withtraining activitiesand supports related exercise activities consistent with the Enterprise Resilience Policy, the Training, Exercise and Evaluation Standard, HSEEP methodology, adult learning principles, and enterprise preparedness expectations.
  • Supports assigned exercise activities, training activities, Disaster Recovery testing, or integrated exercise and training efforts based on program needs, role expectations, and enterprise preparedness priorities.
  • Provides and maintains exercise and training materials, curricula, job aids, facilitation materials, learner feedback summaries, completion records, and role-based readiness support for resilience roles and responsibilities.
  • Supports the creation and maintenance of a formal resilience training plan focused on the attitudes, behaviors, and skills needed by resilience stakeholders, from planning-function expectations to role-based responsibilities and readiness requirements.
  • Supports tabletop, functional, full-scale, seminar, workshop, Disaster Recovery testing, and training delivery activities by preparing materials, coordinating logistics, capturing evidence, and documenting results.
  • Establishes, maintains, and supports systems of record for training documentation and evidence, including exercise plans, controller materials, master scenario events lists, validation materials, training attendance records, completion records, evidence artifacts, and audit-ready training documentation.
  • Assists with exercise observations, learner feedback, after-action report support, capability gap identification, training effectiveness review, and improvement recommendations.
  • Consults with Business Units, Operating Companies, and stakeholders on assigned exercise and training requirements, training effectiveness, documentation quality, and program improvement opportunities.
  • Supports corrective-action tracking, improvement-plan follow-up, documentation updates, status reporting, exercise records, calendars, databases, and program reporting.
  • Supports Disaster Recovery testing activities by coordinating logistics, capturing evidence, documenting test results, and assisting with validation of recovery readiness against defined objectives, assumptions, dependencies, RTO/RPO expectations, validation criteria, and success measures.


Preferred Requirements:
  • Basic knowledge of Enterprise Resilience Policy and Training, Exercise and Evaluation Standard expectations; HSEEP methodology, adult learning principles, ICS, NIMS, exercise documentation, corrective-action tracking, instructional design, training facilitation, learning evaluation, virtual facilitation platforms, learning management systems, exercise management tools, and change management concepts.


License(s)/Certification(s) are listed below:
  • HSEEP training, AEM, ABCP, CPTD, ATD certificate programs, Prosci, or equivalent.
