- Consistently supports and exemplifies IMA's core values
- Leads executive risk strategy for the firm's National Private Equity & M&A Specialty Practice (including but not limited to the following lines of coverage GPL, VCAP, D&O, EPLI, Crime, Fiduciary, Cyber, Excess lines)
- Serves as a senior advisor to private equity sponsors and portfolio company leadership teams
- Assists in practice strategy, market differentiation, and growth initiatives
- Develops and maintains underwriter relationships and an understanding of the executive liability marketplace (including carrier appetite, capabilities, and performance history) in order to effectively represent clients
- Markets new and renewal business for Private Equity firms, Venture Capital firms, Family Offices and Private Equity-backed portfolio companies by:
- Analyzing client financial statements and existing insurance contracts
- Identifying gaps and opportunities within insurance programs and developing strategies to improve coverage, structure, and cost
- Communicating with insurance carriers and leveraging negotiation skills to secure favorable terms, conditions, and pricing
- Builds and structures portfolio company insurance programs that align with sponsor objectives, including benchmarking, harmonizing limits and retentions, and identifying opportunities for program efficiencies across the portfolio
- Assists in negotiating standard endorsement suites and preferred terms with key carrier partners to create consistency and efficiency across programs
- Reviews and compares leading insurance company policy forms; clearly communicates key differences and coverage nuances to internal IMA team members, underwriters, and clients
- Maintains effective working relationships with client stakeholders, typically including CFOs, General Counsel, and Private Equity sponsors, serving as a point of contact
- Contributes to the development of client proposals and presentations, and can confidently and clearly present proposal materials to clients
- Supports producers with sales efforts related to Executive Risk Solutions (ERS) products, including preparation of marketing materials, coverage comparisons, and strategic recommendations
- Supports producers nationally in positioning executive risk solutions within PE-backed and acquisitive organizations
- Participates in client and prospect meetings, stewardship discussions, and thought leadership initiatives
- Manages, mentors and helps develop colleagues across the executive risk and PE and M&A ecosystem

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS include but are not limited to:
- College degree with consideration given to those with an advanced degree (i.e., Juris Doctor, Master's in finance and/or business administration)
- 7+ years of relevant experience working in executive liability insurance coverage
- Significant experience supporting financial institutions with executive risk solutions
- Existing relationships with senior-level underwriters and insurance company executives
- Displays excellent organizational and communication skills (oral and written)
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex client engagements and influence senior stakeholders
- Experience working in a highly collaborative, matrixed environment
- Proven business development and relationship management capabilities
- Ability to interpret insurance contracts
- Property and casualty license required for state of business and fulfills continuing education requirements to retain license
- Completes additional duties and takes on additional responsibility as the need arises
- Travel on occasion when business needs arise
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS include but are not limited to:
- Familiarity with M&A transaction dynamics and transactional insurance solutions preferred
- Existing relationships with private equity sponsors, law firms, lenders, or deal ecosystem partners
- Industry designations such as CPCU, RPLU, ARM, or CIC
