Full Job Description
Executive Project Manager Diversified Construction & Design is seeking Executive Project Managers (EPMs) to join our Executive Team. EPMs have 10+ years' experience managing heavy industrial / mechanical construction projects across industries such as refining, chemical/petrochemical, energy, natural gas and, wood products. They are executive-level client relationship and business leaders responsible for the growth, profitability, retention, and overall performance of assigned client portfolios. Essential Roles & Responsibilities: Business Development • Develop and maintain strategic client relationships to identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities within assigned accounts. • Review and evaluate prospective client projects, including scope, labor and equipment requirements, schedule demands, commercial considerations, risk exposure, and operational capacity, determining the Company's ability and willingness to pursue and successfully execute the work. • Authorize approved projects for transition to the Preconstruction team and provide executive oversight throughout estimating, planning, scheduling, procurement, and resource allocation activities. Client Relationship Management (CRM) • Provide strategic oversight and administration of Master Service Agreements (MSAs), ensuring contractual commitments align with business objectives, operational capabilities, risk management standards, regulatory requirements, and long-term client relationships. • Act as the primary executive point of contact for assigned clients, managing relationships and coordinating the resolution of contractual, invoicing, personnel, service, and other business-related matters to ensure exceptional client satisfaction. Commercial Management • Monitor and drive the financial performance of assigned client portfolios, ensuring achievement of revenue, margin, cash flow, growth, and client retention objectives. • Negotiate, establish, and manage client-specific labor and equipment billing rates, ensuring contractual compliance, competitive market positioning, and achievement of company profitability objectives. Risk Management • Identify, evaluate, and manage commercial, contractual, operational, financial, and client-related risks within assigned client portfolios, implementing mitigation strategies to protect Diversified's interests and support successful project outcomes. Strategic Leadership and Planning / Executive Oversight • Participate as a member of Diversified's Executive Team, contributing to strategic planning, organizational leadership, and executive decision-making while collaborating with fellow leaders to advance the Company's goals and objectives. Minimum Qualifications: • 10-15 years of progressive experience in construction operations, project management, account management, or executive leadership. • 3-5 years of experience managing client relationships. • Demonstrated experience managing risk, scope, and change. • Previous responsibility for portfolio performance and profitability. Core Competencies: • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Strong leadership, negotiation, and relationship-management skills. • Ability to balance client expectations, operational priorities, contractual obligations, and financial objectives. • Ability to consistently represent Diversified Construction & Design in a positive and professional manner with clients, business partners, and vendors. Compensation Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.
