Full Job Description
About the Role

We're looking for an experienced Executive Producer to help lead and shape our in-house video studio.

This is a unique opportunity for a production leader who thrives at the intersection of strategy and execution. You'll serve as the operational backbone of the studio, personally line producing key projects while building the processes, partnerships, and production model that will enable the team to scale.

Rather than inheriting a large production organization, you'll lead a talented team of video creators and help define the future of eBay's in-house video studio within the Global Brand Creative team. Reporting to the Head of Brand Creative, you'll partner closely with Creative leadership to evolve the team's capabilities, determine the right balance of internal talent, freelancers, and agency partners, and establish a scalable vision for how the studio grows over time.

If you're energized by building teams, mentoring creative talent, and staying close to the work, we'd love to hear from you.

What You'll Do
  • Executive produce high-profile video projects from concept through delivery, ensuring exceptional creative execution and operational excellence.
  • Own production planning across pre-production, production, and post-production, including schedules, budgets, staffing, logistics, and risk management.
  • Lead and develop a small team of in-house video creators, providing coaching, mentorship, and clear operational direction.
  • Partner closely with Brand Creative leadership to define how the in-house video studio should evolve as demand grows.
  • Develop scalable production workflows, resource planning, and operating practices that support both creative excellence and efficient execution.
  • Build and manage relationships with freelancers, production vendors, agencies, and creative partners.
  • Evaluate when work should be produced internally versus externally, helping establish the right long-term production model.
  • Collaborate across Marketing, Communications, Events, and other cross-functional teams to deliver impactful storytelling at scale.

What Success Looks Like

Within your first year:
  • The studio operates with greater clarity, consistency, and production discipline.
  • Video creators are supported by thoughtful planning, coaching, and operational leadership.
  • Complex productions are delivered smoothly across multiple concurrent projects.
  • Internal and external production resources are leveraged strategically to maximize quality, flexibility, and efficiency.
  • Creative partners trust the studio as a collaborative, dependable production partner.
  • A clear roadmap exists for how the in-house video studio will continue to grow and scale.

Who You Are

You're an experienced Executive Producer who enjoys building teams as much as producing exceptional work. You're excited by the opportunity to mentor creative talent while remaining deeply engaged in the productions that define the studio.

You're equally comfortable developing production strategy, executive producing high-profile projects, and coaching a small team of video creators. You enjoy creating the systems, partnerships, and processes that enable great creative work to happen at scale, while staying closely connected to the work itself.

You see ambiguity as an opportunity to build something exceptional and are energized by helping shape the future of a growing in-house video studio.

Required Qualifications
  • Significant experience as an Executive Producer or senior production leader delivering complex video productions.
  • Demonstrated success personally leading productions from concept through final delivery.
  • Strong experience managing budgets, schedules, staffing plans, vendors, and production operations across multiple simultaneous projects.
  • Experience leading creative professionals through coaching, mentorship, and influence.
  • Excellent cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong organizational judgment with the ability to bring structure to fast-moving creative environments.
  • Experience working with freelancers, agencies, and external production partners.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience producing narrative, documentary, branded, or campaign-based content.
  • Experience helping build or scale an in-house creative or video organization.
  • Background in agency, studio, entertainment, or corporate creative environments.
  • Established network of freelance crews, production vendors, and agency partners.
  • Experience developing production strategy while remaining actively engaged in execution.

This Role Is a Great Fit If You...
  • Enjoy being a player-coach who leads through both action and mentorship.
  • Love building systems, teams, and creative operations from the ground up.
  • Prefer staying close to the work instead of managing multiple organizational layers.
  • Are excited by shaping the future of a growing creative organization.
  • Want meaningful ownership over both today's productions and tomorrow's studio.

Not Required
  • Hands-on camera operation or video editing expertise.
  • Deep proficiency with creative software such as Adobe Creative Suite or Frame.io.
  • Experience managing large production organizations or multiple layers of production managers.

Why Join Us?

Our in-house video studio is entering an exciting period of growth. As demand expands into larger campaigns, narrative storytelling, executive communications, and high-profile productions, you'll help define how we scale.

This is an opportunity to build-not simply inherit-a production organization. You'll partner directly with Creative leadership to shape the studio's future, influence hiring and production strategy, and create an operating model that balances exceptional creative work with sustainable growth.

If you're looking for a leadership role where you can both make great work and build an outstanding team, we'd love to meet you.
