The Opportunity

As an Executive Operational Planning Manager, you will serve as the strategic advisor and operational partner to USAA's Charlotte office General Manager, ensuring effective execution of business prioritites, organizational objectives and regional initiatives. You will work closely with Charlotte teammates, association stakeholders, and functional partners to execute campus, culture, community, and safety initiatives ensuring the Charlotte office operates with excellence and purpose.

You will manage the day-to-day Charlotte campus operations, fostering a workplace environment that supports employee engagement, culture, safety and operational excellence.

We offer a flexible work environment that requires an individual to be
in the office 4 days per week. This position is based in: Charlotte, NC - CENTS. Relocation assistance is not available for this position

What you'll do:
• Partners with regional leadership, association stakeholders, and functional teams to plan, implement, and evaluate programs that advance business objectives.
• Act as the primary liaison between the Regional General Manager, business leaders, and association partners to facilitate communication, alignment and execution of key initiatives across the organization.
• Manages regional budgets and financial planning activities, ensuring responsible stewardship of resources and adherence to financial objectives.
• Provides comprehensive operational support for the Charlotte office, encompassing facilities management, real estate, and business continuity planning.
• Manages service level agreements (SLAs) for all support functions, ensuring adherence to service standards.
• Coordinates executive-level communications, presentations, briefing materials, and leadership messaging to keep the Charlotte team informed and connected with USAA's mission, culture, and organizational prioritites.
• Builds and maintains strategic partnerships with Charlotte leadership, employees, and external organizations to foster collaboration and drive successful execution of regional priorities.
• Drive and Enable campus, culture, and community initiatives for the USAA Charlotte team, promoting volunteerism, employee engagement and a positive work environment
• Partners with local and association event teams to support planning and execution of site programming of employee events, leadership meetings, and engagement activities to enhanceconnection with the military community
• Serve as a designated delegate of the GM in meetings - acting as proxy, monitors, tracks, and communicates progress of commitments and ensuring follow-through
• Surface and elevate issues to the GM, driving engagement initiatives and removing operational friction
• Identifies and assess operational bottlenecks and risks, develop mitigation strategies
• Coordinates across full range of local and association functions including marketing, corporate impact, military affairs, protective security, human resources, government affairs, compliance, and finance
• Facilitates tactical and operational planning and implementation processes to assure that management is knowledgeable of process, goals, objectives and strategies.
• Monitors, coordinates, documents, and communicates progress toward achievement of business goals, objectives, strategies and action plan results.
• Evaluates the relevance of messages for intended audience and ensures consistency and accuracy.
• Provides advice and guidance and negotiates approval of communication materials with executive management and subject-matter experts prior to securing final approval from senior executive or Executive Leadership Team member.
• Ensures deliverables meet established standards of appearance and content and that all logistical requirements are satisfied.
• Responsible for the development, coordination and timely submission of relevant, broader level ELT and Board/Council/Committee driven requirements.
• Provides oversight and support to project teams in development and implementation of departmental employee events and business conferences.
• Ensures risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.

Experiences that will support your success:
• Bachelor's degree; OR 4 years of relevant education and/or experience.
• 6 years of project/program management experience supporting senior level executives, corporate event planning and/or managing executive level communications.
• Ability to build strong relationships and to work with all levels within the organization.
• Experience developing executive level briefings in support of EC, CEO and BoDdeliverables.
• Demonstrated capability to navigate in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks with competing deadlines.
• Demonstrated ability to manage confidential information.
• Ability to interact and collaborate positively with executive leadership and communicate concepts clearly.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite to include Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Compensation range: The salary range for this position is: $99,580.00 - $179,240.00.

Compensation: USAA has an effective process for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we remain competitive. You are paid within the salary range based on your experience and market data of the position. The actual salary for this role may vary by location.

Employees may be eligible for pay incentives based on overall corporate and individual performance and at the discretion of the USAA Board of Directors.
